MR2 Turbo poor running

i have a 1992 turbo that will rev to its max at a standstill but starts to cough and splutter above 3000rpm when being driven, has anyone got any ideas what is happening???

could be a number of things.

Its probably one of your sensors messing up, pull a spark plug, or all of them, and see how it/they look to give you an idea if this is the case. A sensor giving a false reading would cause the fuel air mix to be off, and you'd see the signs of that on the spark plug

HI,

first off please use the correct forum Secondly check all the rubber hoses from your turbo to the throttle body. Sounds like you may have a boost leak.
