Posting in other languages
Hi
I'm the last person to raise a point...but.in some of the threads I've been reading and wanting to follow,I've been frustrated by menbers posting in other languages than English..yes yes I know lazy English speaker...but I speak French and German..also bits of Russian and Greek..what i would like to know is what is the forums view of this,to me this is an English speaking forum so as such you should post in English,I have used Russian sites for information and struggled but they helped me out using PM'S..any way thoughts please Last edited by oldsoul45; 03-23-2009 at 06:28 AM.. |

Post in the language you are replying to. It wouldn't make much sense to post a German answer to a Chinese question. I don't think is really an issue at all.

International...fair play...but unless we post in a common language it becomes a mess...don't have to be English, I can speak German....ever run Chinese through a translator ??...it's no big deal I guess if I can translate Jap manuals I can spend longer translating posts.....it's just the other day with all the dutch posts and trying to follow what was being said was so frustrating

Many forums have users posting in multiple languages. You see this a lot on larger forums with many users from across the globe. As this forum grows more and more every year, you will more than likely see posting in languages other than English more often. It is not a bad thing. It is actually a good thing, Just shows that word is getting out about this wonderful forum and people from all over the globe are joining in on the fun.

We are not going to tell people they can't post in their own language and hope to get an answer they understand. The idea is ridiculous. If it's that big a problem for you here you go: Yahoo! Babel Fish - Text Translation and Web Page Translation
