Why do you like this board?

This isn't a comparison between this board and other boards. Just thought I'd show my affection for this site. I like it here because:

I can filter which forums I view
I can block sigs if I'm sick of them
To add to above, a highly configurable control panel
The nice bluish & discrete layout looks serious enough to view at work (heh heh)
Most of the lunkheads who hang out here are pretty cool w/ good spirits
Avatars! (yay)
Almost invisible moderators, but they're around when you need them

What could use a bit more work:

More organized tech info
More ads (that's right, I want even more MR2 related ads)
Too much empty space between posts in threads, more posts per page needed

Nice work, guys.

My favorite thing about this board is the people that are on it I have met some verry cool ppl who are really chill an knowlegeable.

It smells so nice here! That and I don't mind the color blue.

Seriously though, I've met some nice folks on here and am entertained more often here than on some of the other sites... but if I get stumped I honestly usually search another site. I have occasionally run into a bit of misinformation here by folks that think they're mechanics but sometimes aren't (or shouldn't be). But you can run into those anywhere, you just have to figure out who they are and humor their posts (or ignore them, lol).

hmmm well i like it because

-most of the ppl on here are nice.
-if i just browse sometimes when im bored i always find something interesting to read.
-if i have a question i always get good answers and suggestions.
-i have learned alot about my car just by being a member.
- the set up here is easy to use and the color of the background isnt blinding.
- i love the off topic section(bunch of "funny" guys on it make me laugh all day)

i am a member of another fourm (not mr2 related) and the people dont speak proper english, they act like a bunch of teenagers annnnnnd their set up is TERRIBLE. theres more buuuuuuuut it would turn into a rant

I think everyone is a little more laid back here and i must admit the blue is easy on the eye's. Sorry to here that you have been mislead curvesgood but like you said that can happen anywhere.

BTW can someone temp. ban David48 till he removes the pic of that Nissan.

The people on here arent A*****es like on other forums where they pick on you if your a noob!...
The MR2 guys are more mature and know their stuff compared to most other forums!

^^ Same here! My mr2 is a project for me to learn on, and i have many questions.. What makes it worse is its uniqueness, and rarity up here in CNY, so there isnt anyone locally I can trust...

One place for improvement = more Central new york members?

I notice most other forums, in general, have a bunch of tools and jerks that criticize what you do, how you do it.
Plus, as mention, everyone is a butt elsewhere. It's a less tense, more casual feel on this forum where everyone can learn.
LOVE the Beams section as I plan for that next year.

I enjoy the insightful and funny discussions. Little flaming even on stupid questions, (except the 2jz mr2 one, that deserves the heat it gets), and the FS section. I was able to build my engine from those three things.

One thing I would like to see, is a definate place to post 5sfte stuff. I get a hard time for posting anything with "fe" at the end of it in the turbo section, and again when I post "turbo" in the NA section. Im just say'n, it would be nice.
