MACH2: lmao a your comment about the blue mr2!!! I found that on ebay last week. While I didn't nearly throw up, I swear I stared at it for 10 minutes wondering WTF in shock like seeing a train wreck. I was also trying to figure it out and kept asking WHY? And I don't have a problem with civics or mustangs, just the MAJORITY of their owners. I love all cars, big, small, import, american, old, less like newer cars.

I guess driving with the pop ups up for safety wouldn't qualify but I see people do it because they think it looks cool. It really doesn't, those damn things stick up nearly a foot, lol. At night with them on, especially with the fogs, it's not so bad. I LOVE the way the car looks with just the fogs on as headlights, that's a menacing look.

Baktasht: I'm certinly not one of those people that says or does ANYTHING to look cool, as you say. In fact, that's exactly the type of people I'm hating on. I can't stand the weak minded idiots.

And I do agree that you should do what you want with your ride but you've got to have some sense when it comes to a nice/rare ride like the MR2. When someone sees a shi*&^ one, they remember it forever.

And if someone didn't like what I did to my car or even my hair, I wouldn't care. That's one of the reasons I drive a 2, to be a little different and not a follower. The thing that keeps coming to my mind is the supra tails on an MR2. That's the only time I've hated on a person, when I saw that. It truly looks like *** and if you think otherwise you ARE retarded. (whoever you are ) If you do something to your car/mr2 and it looks like that blue one I attached, you deserve to be reamed out. Or beat with a stick.

FYI... the stock headlights are nonexistent and the has been extended to cover where the stockers would usually be... take a closer look...

I think in reality, its probably the great MINORITY of owners with Civics and Mustangs that piss you off. Are all the old ladies that have these cars really that hard on you It's attitudes like these that make people care what others do to their own cars... in fear of being grouped with them.

It's pretty pitiful, in my opinion. If someguy does something to his MR2 that makes it look hideous- it just makes someone else's look that much better.

Also, I can sympathize with the comment about the mustangs and civics. There are so many of them around here riding with those giant aluminum wings that do nothing for their cars. There's a stang that says black widow on the back, but the car is dark red with some black accents (dumba**), and it has a big giant double decker wing on it. I've seen it a few times, and the body kit wobbles at 45 mph around the front wheels, and the back wheels, and the wing wobbles too. LOL! Nice aero! The civics are out of control though. Lately the thing is to paint/put a different color hood on your car. I saw one the other day with a yellow hood, purple fenders, and the rest was red. I rolled up to him at a light in my work van and asked him if he was about to paint his car, and he said he just did! LOL! And it had a stupid black aluminum wing on it to boot!

I probably should make something clear here. I live in AUGUSTA, GEORGIA. The 'dirty south'. If you guys saw what I do, you'd understand my attitude towards civics, mustangs and their owners.

And I really have to disagree with you Canadam. When I see something like that blue mr2, I'm embarrassed for mr2 owners as a whole. The most positive I can be, is hoping it won't be recognized as an MR2...

And if someone cares so much about what others think about their car/mods to the point of being afraid of being 'grouped', they should not put supra tails or led windshield squirters on. (obviously not doing it for looks or to be different, that's follow the leader and "I don't have my own personal taste") In fact, maybe they should just drive a stock car/truck.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion and every owner is entitled to not caring about it.

Of course you are, because you sport the same attitude which claims to be annoyed by the majority of Mustang and Civic owners. There's no way in hell that the MAJORITY of these cars are running around in anything else than completely stock form. It's attitudes like that that make good owners get grouped with bad ones. For that, I can see why you'd be so offended that someone else would do that to their MR2. I just think its a shame you feel that way.

imweip, that's exactly what I'm talking about! In the WTF category, there is a guy around here with a 'big body' that has Church's Chicken logos all over it! I once saw a geo tracker with Nike check stripes down it!! It said "Just do it" on the windows and mirrors! I used to see a geo station wagon with enough yellow and blue spray paint inside and out that I thought it was advertising something! Racing harness' and everything. I really could go on if I hadn't tried so hard to forget all the crap I see...

Oh, in the MR2 category................... How about an integra with a OEM 91 MR2 3 piece wing and 95 tail lights?????? I have a pic of it! And, NO, none of it fit right!

Just wondering because I feel like imweip on those two things, makes me want to punch the guy in his throat. And, given your comment, I would guess I don't notice the majority of the cars because they are stock. But I must say, it's true with the mustangs. i swear that here, the majority have something stupid done. I promise you.

I don't have an attitude like him, I know the majority of them are in stock trim, but the majority of modified civics and mustangs were done so with discount auto parts mods. And I don't think that what one person does to their car reflects badly on my car, but a lot of people are quick to judge that way based off of a few experiences. Think about it. You are joe blow, and you don't know much about cars. The only ones that are going to really catch your attention are flashy/loud cars. Well if you see 10 mr2s that are all ugly, or poorly modified, you are going to assume that most everyone that modifies those things does it badly. Just like everytime a civics wants to race me I only get on it through 1st gear because I know they have nothing. I've yet to be suprised because there are really only about 10 civics in orlando that are fast, but there is another modified civic every 2 minutes. In the 2 months I've had my car, I accually got challenged by 3 discount auto parts civics at once! (one behind and one on each side) Maybe in canada things arent so bad, but down here, it's horrible. I don't know if it's a specific type of person or what, but there are so many lame cars here that when people see/hear me, they lump me in with them. Which is good if they are racing me.

I saw some sort of chrystler sebring or something pulling out of a trailer park a few months ago, it couldn't have been more than 2 years old, but LITERALLY She could barely see over the trash on the dash, and she couldn't see out the back window. The ONLY clean area of the car was the drivers seat. There wash trash piled up as high as the windows in the passenger seat and the back seat. I litterally just stopped my van right in front of her and stared slackjawed. That's CRAZY!

When someone ruins an awesome rare car, that doesn't make you a bit upset? That makes that rare car, rarer. If someone wants to do that to a car get a corvette or something.

I don't want my car to be worth more, because if some jacka** hits my car, or a tree falls on it, or it explodes, or whatever, I'm getting like MAYBE $5k from the insurance company. I PAID $9k for my 93 w/ Gen3. So I lose $4k because people are beating up their MR2s? If I wanted to replace my car RIGHT now, I probably couldn't for under $13k without driving accross country. So in reality I lose $9k or drive something else if my car is killed... that doesn't seem right because people want to trash something rather than take car of it, despite the fact that they know it's rare. Also, it makes me sad because when I see another rare car get killed/abused that means that there's one less car for someone who would have LOVED it, and cherished it. That sucks for the guy who saved up just enough to buy a rare car, but by the time he saved up, the market went up more because they got a lot rarer due to people mistreating them. I feel sorry for that guy.
