smart ***, lol. I have 94+ tails myself, I wouldn't have it any other way on a 2. The tails make the car as much as the wheels, or more. I swear the 94+ tails make the front of the car look better, I can't explain it but they are just the sexiest lights I've ever seen. (well, I do love those sweet aston martin tails) Why do you not have an exhaust? Turbo? And I can let TRD slip but not a toyota banner. That's like all the accords I see with a huge H on the back. Yeah, I'm sure someone's going to confuse what that is...

Maybe I should say that I've simply never seen any good light mods on a 2. I can think of 2 that were decent but still weren't exactly right.... S2000 tails on a WB and RX7 blink/fogs on the front of a bomex. But all the others have caused the hate I have for light mods, and the fact that the stock blinkers/fogs/94+tails are impossible to beat.

I just really love the MKII design. I think it's one of the nicest designed cars ever made and I say that taking careful consideration. The car has great lines and beautiful details, it's aged better than any car I've seen of it's timeframe. And I don't know what you guys were talking about earlier but it has kept it's value well. I sold my last n/a for 5k and last turbo for 8.5k. You cannot go by book value, neither do buyers or insurance. (unless you give in)

no matter how you slice it.... all of this stuff is just your opinion. And it doesn't make it right to put down anyone else's car, cuz what they've done to their own car is what they think looks hot, and maybe they think your 94+ tails look ugly as sin, but they're not saying anything to put you down are they? Come on people... how many different excuses are you going to make for the blatant disrespect that so many of you show to other's cars. There's no excuse for it, and you guys seriously need to quit it, no matter how much you don't like what someone else has done to their own car.

My gen3 is also stock! I'm even running it on gen2 ecu/afm/wring still. I'm upgrading to gen3 ecu/map in a month or so. (check sig for needed parts!)

I only have BPU's, full 3" exh, intake, I/C, EBC. It put down 276rwhp, pretty average for the engine/mods and makes me 100% happy! (100% OEM reliable too)

Damn I need to replace my boost controller (it's screwing up) and get my car dynoed... it feels faster than what it should be..

I think he meant tails from other cars. I don't have a problem with a TRD banner or ATS sticker or something like that if you accually have stuff from that brand. Like some TRD components, or an ATS turbo kit. I think it's stupid when people put K&N stickers on their cars.

They're not my cup of tea. But yeah, I do respect the cars, the owners, the reason they modified their own cars the way they did, and the work they put into it. I might have done it differently IF it were my car. But it's not, it's their car, their money, their time, and their taste. And in their mind there's reasons why the did what they did, and they may or may not like the end product, but it's still their decision and it's not affecting anyone else but them. So yes, I do respect those cars and their owners, even if I don't agree with their choices.

I have 19's on the back of my mr2 and some headlights that not everyone agrees with. Does that mean I want to hear you searching the internet for pics of it and posting rude and humiliating stuff about my car and my decisions every chance you get? No...

I've yet to see an MR2 other than the blue one that I hated. The things you listed can be tasteful, and even if I don't like them, I can see how someone would. But when people do something that doesn't look good to anyone just to stand out, that is lame. No I don't respect an accord with a 3 foot honda logo in a contrasting color on its back windsheild. And If I want to laugh at him for that, whats wrong with that? He put it on his car, he HAD to know he was going to get reactions like that. I painted part of my calipers yellow to match my body color. I'm just waiting for someone to call me rice, because I know it will happen. And I'll just laugh, because in my eyes my car is better than theirs, but if they want to get some joy out of laughing at my car, GO AHEAD! My first car my parents bought me was a metallic teal hyundai 4 door accent with that stupid chrome trim all over the doors, truck, etc. People laughed at me all the time, and I laughed too. It was hideous. But it drove good, got good gas mileage, and held up to the beatings of a 16 year old. What more could I want? I could make it to Miami on $15 in gas!

you like your yellow calipers. and the dude with the huge honda logo likes his honda logo. Doesn't mean that he has to like your calipers, and it doesn't mean that you have to like his honda logo. But jeez man... can't everyone just learn to respect one another and have a little decency? If you want to laugh about another guys "stuff" thats fine, but do it on your own time. Don't go searching the internet for pics to make fun of. If a guy asks for opinions of his car and posts up in the show off forum, then give opinions, not completely pointless insults. And if nobody asks for your opinion keep it to yourself or to your little group of friends, don't go posting it all over the boards/forums. It's just common respect that is lacking in people these days, and it's just getting really old seeing another thread pop up every other day about "check out this piece of ####, hahaha".... it's like every little nerd wants to be a bully now just cuz they can hide behind a keyboard.

Uhm Aside from this thread I really don't do the kind of behavior you are saying. The pictures I posted here are off something like super-rice.com or something like that. They were for illustrational purposes. If someone posted pics of their Mr2 in this forum I would NOT bash on their car. I've said things like "I wouldn't have done that, but it is well done." Or in the case when someone was asking for advice, I said "Don't do that, it's hard to make that look good." Or something along those lines.

The things that I was saying I do are normally like you said in my group of friends. Sometimes I will ask the guy a question about his car if I think it's exceptionally lame, and they normally have a stupid response therefore proving their ignorance. A good example: My friend and I pull up in his vette next to a Hyundai accent with a wing sitting 8 inches up from the trunk lid and stock hubcaps, and my buddy asks him what his wing is for. The guy responds in a very bad accent "Because I go fast!" (the wing was completely useless where it was at on his car, and I doubt that car can go fast enough to utilize a wing.

We happen to think that's funny. The guy in the other car was laughing too. Does that make me an ***? Maybe. Does putting a wing on his car because he thinks it will make him go faster make him an ***? YES. It's guys like him who rev at me on the expressway when I'm already doing 65 in a 55. They want to race at that speed on a road under construction? I had a caviler do that to me, and I downshifted and accelerated maybe 10mph, and got off it, he kept accelerating after he caught up to me and kept going up to about 90mph in a construction zone, and almost hit 2 cars and a barricade. I'm sorry if I lump some people in, but it's human nature. I've yet to meet a guy with a car like that who isn't a jerk/d*ck/dumba**. Maybe it's just my area. I don't know.

In my 6+ years of being in the mr2 community and different forums, I have only posted a negative comment ONCE. It was about a stock body mr2 with supra tails, sorry but it just pissed me off. I DO NOT talk crap about people and their cars but i DO have an opinion. I respect a person enough not to be negative about what they did.

I DO NOT like being put in the category with all the jackasses that go around posting the neg comments in people's threads. I may look, laugh, take a pic or get angry but I leave it be. (like the blue mr2, I 30/70 wanted to send the guy a message but I just wanted to know who did it and what they thought of it)

I try to be positive as best I can, with so much negative around. I try to stay out of it, life is too short to be angry or focus on what you don't like.




And for the fools that rev, they do that here from the OPPOSITE lane. I have been CHASED in my n/a mr2 before until the guy caught me and says "damn that's fast, whatcha got a turbo" i said, "no, it's stock non-turbo and I was just driving normally" i was confused as hells. (still am ???)

I was saying in MY eyes my car is better than theirs. I LOVE my car. There are many like it, but this one is mine and I LOVE it. I don't know if I can ever love another car as much as this one. /endMushyMoment Maybe they have some amazing car, but there isn't really a car out there I would trade my car for. Maybe something worth like $50k so I could sell it and buy another Mr2 just like mine, and have some money left over.

There are rules everywhere. Otherwise it would be anarchy. And i'm not trying to push my opinion on everyone. Just want you guys to learn to keep your opinions to yourself when the outcome of expressing your opinion is an obvious insult to the owner of a car. No crusade here buddy, just asking people to be a little more respectful. That's all. And no, nobody posted anything about my car or bashed it.
