Paint Special for $199.99 in Southern California

I found this on Craigslist today. I personally do not know this shop or have Maaco paint my car, but if someone is interested this might help you. Maybe paint your beater?

GRAND OPENING AUTO BODY & PAINT SUPER SPECIAL! - $199
AUTO PAINT SUPER SPECIAL - DURABILITY PLUS CATALYZED ENAMEL
We paint the exterior with a material more resistant to environmental chemicals, weather extremes and tough road conditions. Comes with a 2 Year Warranty. Original Price is $699.95, call today and mention the "Grand Opening Special" and receive a $500 discount off the "Presidential" AN AMAZING PAICE OF ONLY $199.99

Link: GRAND OPENING AUTO BODY & PAINT SUPER SPECIAL!

I was referred to a friends shop off of Harbor and Trask and they supposedly do really good work, but I'll have to check them out first. But I hope this helps someone. And if anyone has had any experience with them, please chime in.

**EDIT: Sorry but if an admin could change the title to add "Southern California" so others won't be confused. Thanks.

if its maaco, run away. the paint will peel off of within 2 years, and the quality of the work will be horrible.

I figured as much, but if someone is looking to just paint their beater it might be worth it? $199.99 is really cheap IMHO. It does have a two year warranty which sounds nice. Bring it in every year for touch ups.

I just called them. They are running the special until the end of the month. If you have dents/dings, they will have to look at your car and make an estimate in addition to the special. They said it's a free estimate and takes about 5 minutes.

A friend of mine had his Civic resprayed at our local Maaco, and it came out looking great. There was a minor run on the hood and the took care of it right away. That and it was at a discount because they take care of us because we send some of our used cars to them.

This Maaco is the only one in the area and is family owned and operated. As in, the dad is the manager, the wife is the secretary, the 2 sons do the actual work, and there is like 3 other helpers. It all depends on the people running the place.
