I do plan to clear coat them. I wanna ensure durability and longevity as well as long lasting shine. I'm probably gonna smoke out the whole tail lights which you can only do with paint. I figured I'd just do the corners the same so they all match.

I still need some more opinions on the wheels...

Gunmetal with a polished lip looks good depending on the type of rims. What other colors are you looking at? What style rims (size, lip, etc.)?

How dark are you planning to go on your tails? Just a hint of smoke or blacked out?

I have the 300zx wheels (same as Davis' but silver) so I was thinking about going full gunmetal with them. So they are the angled five spoke 16's...

The tails I was just thinking about doing a smoke job. I'm not into the whole blacked out look. It can work but I just wanted a darker red...I think it could look really good but I have to test it out to know for sure

Oh duh... The wheels look good but really hard to tell in person. I like seeing them up close and personal just like how I ended up with my tint. Initially I was going to do all medium all around and limo on t-tops when we were talking about it on the other thread. Then when we had the meet, I like how yours turned out with all dark tint so i decided to do the same but kept all (including the t-tops) dark. I like em single shade all around than dark then medium

Regarding painting the tails another bad thing is when you decide to change the colors, it'll be hard to take the paint off and could ruin the entire plastic piece. With tint, you can easily take them out and will still be ok. I saw the guy took the tint on one of the cars and they were just steaming it with hot water then pealing the tint out..

just something to tink about

Retard...return it!!! Video games are a waste of life. Besides...you can get a 360 for two bills. Anyways...save your money...you always need a buffer. Besides...didn't you say you needed to do your bushings?

I'm so torn between keeping them silver or doing the gunmetal. With the darker red paint I have and smokes lights I feel like it would look better overall...and a little more sporty to do gunmetal. More modern ya know?

live.com, paypal and ebay have some kind of agreement. You can get 30% off on eligible "BUY IT NOW" auctions. I've tried it on a small purchase and see if it actually works. My cousin told me about it whose co-worker told him about it. His co-worker bought a xbox 360 for like $120 after the discount or something like that.

check it out.. go on live.com first, enter a keyword example (ipod) it will bring you to a link that goes straight to ebay with a "Live Search cashback" logo. Then on top you will notice another logo saying "Microsoft cashback 30%". I believe terms and condition says you need to have live.com account which most hotmail/msn account is just the same. You can have 12 purchases throughout the year or something up to $2500 discount overall. Maximum discount on a single purchase is like $200... just read the Terms and Condition section before you proceed or go on live.com and read about it.

Again, check/purchase at your own risk. I just purchase a small item just to try it out. I need that item anyway.

Colin, use some Mothers or Meguiars Mag/Aluminum Polish on your headlights. I use that on all my cars (friends and family too), works great. If you want to try it out, let me know. I'll bring some for you next time. Call me later and we should do a wash/polish/detail weekend. I still need to order my DA and a few more polishes. I'm going to order after SEMA when the new pads come out.

Mark, do what you think looks best. Worst case is you do it again right? haha. Just kidding. I vote for silver. The classic look looks best imo. Why not some Gold Work VS-XX (that would look pretty good on red I think)? We all waste our money on something. As long as it keeps us out of trouble! haha.

That's why you should at least get a 360. Then at least our time wasting could be a social activity. I love video games as much as the next guy...I've just wasted enough time on them to stay away from them most of the time...

lol... ps3... how fun... for those things good tv is a must....

anywayz.. mark my rims are graphite but i spray painted them

it looks way better than it used to cuz i sanded the scratches the previous owner left on them

but im not sure if it would look good on a red car... if rims are good just keep it silver save yourself a few bucks
