like i said we do it after midnight! when it is dark because
one almost no one up there except for those who enjoy to run..
and two you can see oncoming headlights!
i claimed the first one to the insurance
the rest just bondo, rustoleum and lets go!
not much money i wouldnt have wasted all that on the track!..
we arent stupid like dragging on the street with so many pedestrians!
canyons are pretty lonely around the time we go
enough explaining myself just cruise up there with me one day and you'll
see how it is!... the only accidents that happen is with people that push it!
like myself but i learned the hardway i had no mentor and shizz..

like i said its at night you can see the cars coming from at least a mile away..
i cant keep explaining, one night you guys are just gonna have to go and check it out.. just cruise..
most of the CAR ON CAR accidents happen to the new guys because they cant really focus on the road and look up way ahead while driving so it happens...
and like i stated before we do not do this in the day..
day= bicyclists, runners, Motorcycles, lots of pedestrian vehicles, and stuff of that sort. but like i said most of the people i know and that have been going for a while day time is a cruise to check it out. night time is the fun part!

I know how canyons are man trust me.. I've been riding motorcycle since 1999. You're a kid who is narrow minded. You don't seem to listen and you do not seem to understand the point of what I am trying to say. Its never safe out there no matter how you explain yourself. Grow up and be responsible.... And you dare to tell me to go cruise up there with you to see how it is? you are truely a lonely child i'm sorry..... hhhmmmmm

I was at Angeles Crest at night around 9pm riding with a few friends. Ricers like yourself were out there. Guy on the civic lost control hit the mountain side left the car there and bailed out with his friends or whatever. That guy could have hit me or someone else.

first of all im not a ricer!....
not all canyon runners are the same man!..
i understand what you mean
like i said i've learned my lesson about not pushing it..
i just mainly cruise when i go up, if some guy is faster let him pass me!
i stick to my lane.. i have buddies that ride bikes in the canyons..
they respect me because i stay in my lane and im not a ****!..
i've actually ran with them (of course kept my distance just in case of they slipped and whatnot)
If you say you know canyons then you know there are different types of people up there..
the people that think they have something to prove and the people the go for the chill whiny road!
i admit i started off as o0o0o i wanna be fast blah blah blah..
the more i got into it and fell for it i no longer care about my speed its the drive that gives the thrill i could do neutral runs and be happy..

anyways we took over the thread..
PM SENT for further discussion

I've always been polite. They just keep insisting to write them tickets. Oh wells. I just think of it as charity writing their paychecks

Yeah no biggy.. I was just going to get the essentials. Plates, plastic cups.. It shouldnt' be a big deal really. Don't forget that canadian beer and i'll get that vodka for the cranberry I got in the fridge LOL

That sucks mixxer. I feel you on the "no bueno" fix-it tickets :shakeshead:. I still have to fix my tint

Glad to hear you got off Colin..."I'm too sexy for my shirt Eh" . Sorry...I had to...

Alex...I have to admit...Davis and Mixxer are right. Just because you think you're alone doesn't mean you are. Yes...you make a valid point that you can see headlights from a distance at night...but there's always the chance you could miss them or be around a blind turn. What I'd be more concerned about are random people up in the mountains or canyons. When I was in highschool my girlfriend and I used to get take out and drive up Angels Crest to hang out and look at the stars. I've also known plenty of people who go up to smoke or drink and aren't sitting around with their headlights on.

Anyways...point is...if something goes wrong, at the wrong place, and someone is there at the wrong time, someone could get hurt. Also you'd learn a lot more about driving and probably have just as much fun at a track. I know you have a lot of confidence in your driving abilities but I promise you they're no where near that of a seasoned track driver. I've seen kids show up to BMWCCA track days in their $50k e46 M3's and get dusted by experienced drivers in $10k e30 325's. I'm all for enjoying your car and having fun driving it...but limits are meant to be tested in safe area's...not necessarily for your safety, but that of others. Just save up a little money and take it to the track.

Also this community is built upon respect. Mixxer has earned everyone's respect here because of who he is as a person, his experience, his character, his generosity, and his knowledge. Arguing with someone with a lot more life experience and knowledge is not the best idea and will tend to be looked down upon. I have nothing against you personally...but I do think you need to be a little more respectful and understand that the things people tell you are in everyone's best interest. No one ever said driving in canyons is bad...or driving fast in canyon's is bad. Pushing the limits of your car and yourself with such limited experience (please don't argue against this point cause it is a losing battle) is not wise on any public road. Spirited driving is one thing...what you talk about is borderline wreckless. If there was absolutely no chance of an accident involving anyone else then I doubt anyone would have a problem with it. However, as long as you are on public roads and there is even the slightest chance of someone other than yourself getting hurt it is a bad idea.

Like I said Alex...I have no direct quarrels with you. You seem like an energetic guy who loves driving. I just think you need some better direction in your pursuits and maybe need to be a little more reserved when it comes to talking about these sorts of things. You are in a group where a lot of us have more experiences (good and bad) on the road. I really do like your enthusiasm...but there's no need to toot your own horn here.

Anyways everyone...My interview went well. I'm not sure how much I liked the company but I'll have to wait and see how things progress.

alright, alright. Hopefully you here back from them. Couldn't hurt to have a temp job in the mean time if they ain't THAT bad....

Buddy in the Uk should be shipping out the switches, wiring looms and the appropriate relays too. Finally I get my fogs to work. I'm also going to attempt to steal my dads (rare) yellow H3's <-- not sure why he said they are.... I'm also bidding (to win) on a wheel that is the same as Richards. Decided against getting the exhaust and stick to what I budgeted. I have been trying to pick up this black turbo trunk+spoiler but the tool hasn't gotten back to me yet, its a good deal too. I'm also getting sick and tired of my shifter not working as it should. Does anyone know what kind of grease I need to buy? Mark, maybe you take my car for a test drive and check it out.

mark, I should have so time to work on the project finally. Also, I was hoping to find a jacket by today. I might call you later tonight and see if we can find something...

Ji, gonna call you this weekend.

where's my tax monies? I filed 2 weeks ago....

Woke up early but got lazy to go to court. I guess i'll do it tomorrow. How far are you from the courthouse? I can probably meet you then. I shoulda just called in sick hehehehee

Dorman: Congrats getting pass through the interview. I know what you mean about that feeling about the company. Its not always about the $$$ but just the feeling that you are at home and make a difference within the company.

Alex made his peace with our PMs which is a good thing .... Yeah his energy and enthusiasm is great. I told him join MMA (UFC) and take it out on the octagon hehee
