that blows! Now that I think about it, glad they didn't stopped me at night! NO plate, no license, light out, tint. I would have been nailed!

well it seems i have missed out on some lively conversation!
^ Davis, i like that saying! Also looked into that class and it is closed out right now
oh and for the wheels you should def keep the ones that handle better.
but i like a low key look and always prefer function over fashion so i am a bit biased on that...

Good luck with your job search Mark. i am hunting too right now as i am only working about 15 hours a week

Glad to hear you're making progress on the project Colin. Do you think it'll be ready in time? I've looked at some jackets but don't know what the budget is...

Hey Ji...How're you feeling today. I'm so freakin tired...

I believe the one in Cerritos Community College offers it.... Also look into adult classes (ROP) Regional Occupational Program. Its free and all you really need to pay for is materials (books). They also give certificates after you complete the program

This one is in Long Beach, CA (Davis???)

hmmm budget... somewhere around 150ish? And I might be able to finish the project by the meet. I would say I'm half done right now I might be making a trip out to temecula on sunday to pick up this guys trb.trunk lid (its black!) and I think I could finish that day. I would say 4-5hrs. While I'm taking a break, I'm going to look for a few jackets as well....

Meh Jordan high, I don't go around that area to often. To ghetto for me hahah. Plus it says it's only for Highschool students?

I don't know any schools, but I think I'm just going to take the body shop class here at my college (cypress city college). Then next spring I'm going to take the cerritos welding class.

EDIT:

1UZ anyone? V8 LEXUS ALUMINUM LONG BLOCK

1991 toyota mr2 parts car - $700 (Ventura)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reply to: sale-1032806504@craigslist.org [?]

1991 toyota mr2 n/a, 190k miles tho the motor feels like it has less miles than that, frame damage (as shown in the pictures), no power anything, only option it came with was cruise control, it is under a suspended registration right now, all you have to do is pay a $14 fee, transfer it in your name and have a prof of insurance and your good to go. i have all other paper work for it aswell

**none of the mechanical components were damaged in the crash** it still starts right up (tho battery is dead at the moment) doesn't leak any fluids other than a few drops of oil, tho it leaked before the crash. interior is in good shape other than tear in driver seat, no radio, and no glove box

mods:
-some sort of rims
-some sort of aftermarket springs (there painted red idk if that means anything or not)
-HKS intake
-93+ shifter
-short sifter kit as well
-drilled and slotted rotors (rear)

repairs (all done about 1.5k miles ago):
-timing belt
-alternator belt
-valve cover gasket
-spark plugs
-all the seals and gaskets on the oil pump are replaced
-new oil pan gasket
-new egr valve (and something else related to smog but i forget the name)
**all of that (other than egr) i did myself so i know it was done right**

*SELLING AS PARTS CAR (not parting out so don't ask), WILL NEED TO BE TOWED!*

$700obo im flexible on the price so shoot me an offer

i would like to keep the center piece so it might not be sold with the car

^^^ picture taken in the frunk directly under the brake master cylinder thing

^^^ this might just be aesthetic damage but could also be frame damage, not sure (this damage was here when i bought the car)

^^^this is with the window rolled all the way up and the door closed all that way, happened in the crash

p.s. i have some other random parts that i can include in the sale:
-rear window
-rear bumper
-rear and front bumper inserts (those Styrofoam things)
-ebrake handle
-custom made exhaust system for a turbo mr2

i know... however, he does not want to part out heheee... Pretty cheap tho for the whole car. I bet he'll take $500 for the whole thing.. Maybe $400 show cash and say you'll tow it right away.... Looks like he has TRD shifter there... Thats at least $80 right there

sweet i will have to look into those other classes. yay for learning!

so i did some diagnosing yesterday, and holy crap my entire intake man and TB are just covered in a layer of black muck from years of PCV fume accumulation.
so i pulled the TB and EGR valve off the car last nite, and disconnected everything from the intake man so i can pull that off tonite and clean it out.
man this explains the problems i have been having lately!
and after i get some parts i have on order i will be giving her a tune-up and then she will run like a whole new car!
yay so excited can't wait!
will have pics up later this weekend....
