What did you think of the picture I posted earlier of the red MR2 with the other gunmetal rims? I more just want to know what you think of the color scheme with the smoked lights. I'll see what I can do though. I'll probably leave them silver for now and if I'm gonna color them I'll do it right and go powdercoat them.
Yeah Tin, I snowboard...so does my roommate. If you're wanting to learn some tricks I used to be half decent and jumps and rails...but I also used to skateboard and snowboard all the time. I've been twice in the past four years . If you ever wanna go give me a call...I'd probably be down. |

I'm doing the same ones that Colin did. They're the super white so they have a bit of a blue tint to them. I also have one other little modification that you'll all get to see at the turkey trot...hopefully I'll have it done by then

^Did you paint it at your Dad's place? Yeah, i think I'm gonna do some patch work on my lid this weekend and go get some quotes from a paint shop on how much it'll run me to get my lid and rear center piece painted. If it's ridiculous then I'll do flat black and wait till I have the money for good paint. Plus then I can sell Abner my lid sooner

That's probably a good call. I'll send him a PM about it...unless he's reading this then he can share his hookups over the boards. As long as it's not too far away I'm down to use whoever.

^Thanks Mixxer!!!
Hey Christian I forgot...did you say you're trying to set up your car to track race? If so and you're still gonna be driving the Two on the streets the TRD's with Bilsteins is suppose to be pretty stiff and handle better than the koni's. They handle better because both are gas pressurized (front and back) while the Koni's are Oil in front and gas in back. This makes the Koni's a lot more comfortable for the streets but gives up the front rear end symmetry of the suspension. I think that's why TRD paired their springs with the Bilsteins...makes for a better handling car. And considering you're gonna do sways and poly-U bushings you're not gonna be too concerned with ride comfort. Plus I've had good experience with Bilsteins and I like them. This would also save you $1k and give you a comparable setup. I'm also guessing you won't have the money to invest in driving school or serious track time so I doubt you'd really be able to tune and push coilovers to their limits. Sorry for being a bubble burster...I'm not trying to hate. I just don't see why you'd wanna spend more money than you need to at this point |

Yeah...you might also wanna consider what class you'd be driving in eventually. I used to track my stock M3 and I never completely found the limits of that setup. Stock suspensions can do a lot more than most people think. Upgrading always people to go further without pushing as much but most never push any of their cars limits (or know how). Yeah...restore your suspension and add things that you can do some geometry adjustments and leave it at that for now. Oh yeah...invest in good tires too. Makes a huge difference
