You could have done it already rather than figuring out the distributor problem all day today
.... j/k... Yeah, Beams was for me too even before I owned my 2 but as time goes and reading more treads, I don't want to be hounding on some parts that I need or will need if something brakes down. I'd still with a lot more common swap. |

Dorman... got an inquiry about a guy with a 97 mustang Cobra. He wanted to cut his springs and i was like LMAO.. Told him spend good $$$ on his car as it is not a regular mustang.... Is this the same 4 wheel independent suspension? Daym I'd really dont want to do the mustang again hahahahaha.. Maybe I will invest on those portable spring compressor.

Yeah...the cobra's are the only mustangs with independent rear suspension. You shouldn't need a spring compressor to get the old springs off or the new ones on. I just used a chain and kicked the control arm. The lowering springs go in no problem...

Are they? Thought they all were independent since the 89 mustang I worked on was all 4 independent... But yeah, he wanted to cut the springs than putting on lowering springs. Man those stock springs are at least 6" taller than the lowering springs and I'm sure if I take those off, I'm going to have a hard time putting it back on without removing the control arm completely then I'll have a hard time lining up the mounting hole and put those bolts in.... I guess i'll check it out tomorrow to see how it looks. I got access to the whole assembly anyway

It's not that big christian...Anything on the back is functional...just depends how much impact it makes. The bigger the more affective.
Yeah...I'm just gonna stick with the 91 wing for now ... |
