I suppose since you have the BGB in front of you, you can just see what other solution it provides. I seriously thing those parts can just easily break. If anything they can last a lifetime and most of the time what you need to fix is either blown head gasket, piston rings etc... all mechanical and not really the electronics.

ooh mixxer i hope its nothing too serious like that. altho i don't really care cuz i am gonna scrap this motor, but i do need her to run for at least a few more months while i get my financials in order...
gonna go ohm out the TPS i will let you know what i pull up... (btw i understand that electronics are usu the last thing to go, but the TPS isnt a solid state component, it does have moving parts and i do hear of them going out on all brands of high mileage vehicles...) **oh forgot to mention that its throwing code #51, which is indicative of the TPS signal** Last edited by deucegirl03; 03-01-2009 at 11:03 PM. Oh yeah.. i was just saying just like u said, electronics are usually the last thing to go. From my experience/opinion, they get mess up when people mess around with them too much. I've seen various TPS problems on various boards and I was just thinking to myself that maybe they mess around with them when they weren't suppose to like they think that was the problem so they make adjustment which messes up the setting. I guess my car is one of the few that hasn't had the TPS problem (knock on wood)
...Don't worry Ren, i have high confidence you'll pin point what the problem is :thumbs up: |

right on mixxer i know you got my back
you are def right most people don't listen to "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and in the scheme of things i am still very green at this stuff so i do appreciate the input ![]() well its official the TPS is toast. per the BGB mine is outta spec. if you guys ever decide to test yours, do it while on the car its much simpler that way. gonna get a new one tomorrow, and go back at it again. i am exhausted but happy with the fact that i seem to have found the problem (one of them anyway) and it doesn't have to do with me putting something back on wrong (which is what i initially thougth when i assumed my problems were vacuum related). *just don't ever clean your TPS* ![]() |

Nothing Clever

It ran like a top all the way home. I had some dummies on the 5 rev at me. Ehh...whatever...they can get a ticket. haha. I did check the resevoir and there was fluid left in it. I topped it off and its good to go. The gauge was slightly below half and did bounce like it used to. Thanks mixxer. I would have called you to give you an update, but I got sick yesterday, missed out on fishing today, and I sound like a toad. haha.

haha. You aren't joking, I wouldn't try to contain the laughter. I would just laugh! haha. I'm the ass**** that will point and laugh when someone gets hurt. haha
Seriously, do they not realize that it is 2am Friday after all the drunk jacka**es are on their way back from clubbing/drinking/bar hopping/etc. and cops are everywhere? Not only do they rev, but they dart back and forth. I just shake my head at their stupidity. |
