Thanks everyone
Yeah I've heard its badass when you master to weld aluminum. I def. didn't do that clean weld on my valve cover, took it to a local fab shop. Nice to see a female excited about improving her machining skills! |

there should be more of us *sigh* hopin the change that... yeah i am learning TIG and taking fab classes and got some plans for some things i want to make for the 2. some lil things i want to make to start out with are battery bracket assemblies (the OEM ones are ugly as sin) and some improvements to the pop up lights hardware (the lil plastic tabs that the 4 cover screws mount to are stripped on mine, wanna make some out of metal) etc..... hoping to be able to share my skills with the community! |

Welcome Allan!
Nice shiny valve covers! Muahaha after 4 hours of careful cutting, my numbers are done. Pics tomorrow. For $8 it turned out pretty good. Way cheaper than $100 online! ![]() |

Hey Allan, well I'm tired of taping up my class number on my car and the fact it pulls my paint out when I remove them.
So now I finished cutting out numbers from magnetic sheets I found at home depot. Oh sweet Colin! That's good to hear! Although I have to admit, I feel sort of sad that I didn't get to help. Yeah for sure, SF4 at Mixxers or what? ![]() |
