^ I know...I feel your pain. What ended up happening? How did the accident happen?
Mixxer...or...you could save up a little more and buy a condo around here. |

some tool made a left right in front of me... turns out that I don't have uninsured motorist! I can't believe it. I'm talking to his moms ins hopefully soon... I might get screwed on this one.... I will post pics later. I'm just waiting for his moms ins to call. IF something like that doesn't work out, then I will get an estimate (im guessing about $2000-2500) I will hit him up for the stuff without ins and see what I can get...

cool, here you go! and there is a scratch on the door (kinda minor) I would need the front panel, hood is scratched, bumper/lip for sure and the plastic that goes under. My dad says the wheel is messed up, but I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

Colin's Estimate
Here's a rough estimate of the whole thing. All the parts I selected are pretty much replacement for OEM parts.

Wait... so is this brake swap deal thing not happening because lack of venue? I DO have a house with my fiancee. Its here in San Diego, and I have a 2 car garage and full size driveway. If you want we can do the work here, people would just need to bring tools and what not. I only have a single jack (which doesn't go very high, its only good for oil changes and what not) and a set of jack stands... oh and a wrench/ratchet kit. LOL.

hey that front clip might just be a good investment for you. You can take the whole thing and sell the rest you dont need like the front lip you have on right now then put the rest. |

^He has the 15" wheels. Dang Colin...that sucks. Make his parents cover him. If it was his fault and he was driving without insurance then he is liable...and if he is still one of his parent dependents (legally) they are responsible. Make sure you get Cash from them to cover it and do some of the work yourself. You might be able to squeeze a new paint job out of it all. Was the suspension damaged at all? If it was just cosmetic then it won't be too bad.

Ok..
15x6 front $391.22 15x7 rear $415.66 Thats a rough estimate and all "replaced" not fix. I'm thinking bodyshop will fix what are salvageable so i'm thinking at least $1K for everything. They'll probably get obviously used parts which most likely are about 50-75% off retail |

__________________ Hey Colin...make sure you talk to one of the parent and drop a line like "I'd like to keep the issue out of court" so they know you're serious. On a happier note...this will be a good excuse to get that new bumper and lip you've been wanting. Also a new paint job could be in order. I'll help you do the prep work for it if you end up going that route. Why is the car not drivable? |
