I was staring at the frunk mounted fuel cell, mezmerized, I walked forward and hit my head pretty hard. I'd go to say it felt like I dented my skull

That's great Kelvin.

I'm not in the stock class haha. Jeff recommended only front sways, so I bought Addco. And yeah front sways are legal in stock class.

Yeah was thinking either one of those but more leaning towards black since it gets dirty with brake dusts. If I paint it silver, it'll be black after a week hehehehee

Thanks. I appreciate any referrals you can give me as I've never had any car painted before.

Hi Masagsxr,

Thanks for the link to this guy's site. Have you ever seen him paint a whole car though? I talked to a couple of body shops and one said to paint a whole car, they remove the trim, windows, etc. I don't know if that's how it's supposed to be done of if that's overkill, but they said it will start peeling if you don't do it right. Of course, they also said they were charging $3500 for that job...

after replacing my TPS and clearing the code i got the car running and i couldn't get it to idle below 1500 and it started throwing the same code (#51, TPS or TPS circuit). so i checked the TPS circuitry and found that one of the 3 pins on the TPS connector has no continuity to ground. There is continuity before the connector (ie the wiring is good), so i have deduced thanks to the laws of physics that the problem must lie within the connector itself.
Thus my mission to replace or rig up the TPS connector and finally get this beast running again
man i love my DMM without it my life would be so much harder....

I have not seen the car paint. Its just one of those either you trust him or you dont. The right way would be to remove all the weatherstrip. Its definitely not overkill to do that. If you don't remove it and just tape over the weather strips then the paint will not bond right to those corner where the paint will start to peel off. A good job with a good paint is definitely not cheap. I think $3500 is fair for what they are going to do and depending on the reputation of that shop.

Hey for $350, you should check out Deni's guy in San Diego and leave the car to him. I'd pay that guy $1K if he is willing to go the extra mile like remove the weather strip etc and more coats of paint.
