You need to fiberglass it Christian..... Keep it where the crack is, sand it down or something then fiberglass it... i think thats how some people do it... after that they wrap it with vinyl just like what Mark did.

Haha yeah whatever, I'm over it.

Thanks for offering Mixxers place Christian! What size are those spacers dude? I wanna run them on my stockies.

Mark, there are spacers that have their own studs. So you bolt them on and voila! they have studs sticking out of them. Like what Mixxer has. I don't know if they have it for 5mm nor do I know if you need to extend the studs for a measly 5mm.

5-10mm or even 20mm spacers wouldn't come with studs. you would have to get longer studs and replace the hub studs... Spacers with studs come in 30mm+ spacers like what I have.. I have 35mm ones.

^I would get a new motor mount if you're gonna replace it.

Hey Davis...do you think I'd need 5 or 10 mm spacers to run 215/50/16's on my 300zx rims? If its too much work I'll just run 205's up front with 245's or 225's out back. I was looking over other mid-engine cars wheels setups with a similar power output. The 2000+ Porsche Boxster (base) used 205/50/16's up front and 225's out back. The 2.7 Boxster put out 217 hp so the setup would probably work pretty well with a stock 3vz in the MR2 yeah?

Edit***
Also found out that the NSX had a similar setup with 205/50/15's in front and 225/50/16's out back...

mark...i think you need a 20mm to make it flush with the back. that is only if you have 16x7 or 16x8

if you go with 5 or 10mm. it would still stink in alot. 25mm is just too much.

the front is fine if you have 16x7. you won't need a spacer at all. hope this infor help you out mark.

you miss me mixxer?? hahah....i don't think you guys would. i just be like a bug flying pass this thread. hihihi...

Thanks for the Vote Ji! I think I need some 5mm spacers to fit the 215's on the front well...
Will I need new wheel studs if I use 5mm spacers?
no, when i tried to fit the 5mm spacers the wheel studs where long enough for the lugnut so ur on the clear

Thanks Christian...how much were your spacers and where did you get them?

Frankie...My front's are 16x7.5 with a +45 offset and 16x8.5 in the rear with a +35 offset. The rears will sit flush just fine with 245's. I am concerned about the fronts rubbing if I use 215's instead of 205's. I think i'm just gonna stick with 205's in the front to keep it simple. I was thinking about doing 5mm spacers to make it a little more flush but it's not that big a deal.

So I was pretty much set on getting Yokohama s.drives for the car. I could get the fronts in 205/50/16 but the biggest the rears come in are 225. If I want to run 245's out back like I was initially thinking I would need to go with something else...
So now I'm thinking I might go with the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval. They're currently Ranked No.1 on Tirerack.com in the Ultra High Performance Summer Tires. I can get them in 205/50/16 for the front and 245/50/16 for the rear . They're also reasonably priced so unless someone has had a bad experience with them I think I'm gonna go for those...
