Hey Mixxer...can you do the same estimate job for my car???

You can't see it in this picture but the front bumper's paint cracked because of the hit (Pretty minor).

The main damage was to the fender.

There are a couple small paint chips on the door right when it meet the fender panel. Also the door molding had some minor damage.

Give me the VIN and i'll give you the history...

Dorman: here's ur estimate. The estimate I gave you guys does not have labor cost. Different bodyshops/insurance companies have different rates. But everything is pretty much precalculated with the hours. Just multiply the total of hours x labor cost.

Thanks for that man. I might just use your estimate to show the guy who hit me and get the money from him.

yeah + labor cost. if you want, I can add labor cost in the estimate so that the printout looks more legit.. i'll put$75/hour but i think a lot of them charges like $110?

Let me go try adding it on our estimating tool.

^ I won't...haha.

Hey Mixxer,

Writing in $75/hr for labor will be fine. I called a couple shops and that's pretty close to their rates. Thanks again Man...I owe you one.

Thought you wanted white? i've always wanted Midnight Blue but haven't had a chance to own an original paint one. I try to stay away from doing color change because of the under body pannels. I'm kinda anal when it comes to that and I want to make sure everything is changed to the new color if i ever do a color change hehehe

here is the updated estimate brother. I had my co-worker give me a profile with what most body shops average rate. he says about $45/hour now but yeah, go ahead and check and i'll update the estimate for you.

Add $463 in labor cost... not bad... its not a total ripoff for the guy you are dealing with.. I think its very reasonable.

Hey Colin...make sure you talk to one of the parent and drop a line like "I'd like to keep the issue out of court" so they know you're serious.

On a happier note...this will be a good excuse to get that new bumper and lip you've been wanting. Also a new paint job could be in order. I'll help you do the prep work for it if you end up going that route. Why is the car not drivable?
Let me know, I just need to let the woman know whats up and when. Im available pretty much any time, and I have lots of space to work on the cars as long as we do them one at a time (or maybe two).

^Will do
__________

I'm torn because I like both but I think the darker color might be better on the MR2.
And Yeah...If I did it I would do the whole car. I'd tear it apart and paint the engine bay and all other non-showing surfaces flat black then pay the money to have all the underpanels, door jams, etc...painted. I wouldn't do a color change unless it looked near perfect

So you're gonna kill me, but I just called the place Ji told me to go to and they said $45 an hour. The other shop I called was a total rip off...guess that's what I get for using google. Can I get the $45/hr estimate again? Sorry
