FYI: PoorGasolineMileage
It does not look like O2 sensor has something to do with it, otherwise it should throw in a CEL/code..
Check this out and repair as advised. |

possible clogged egr? or compression? I read on another mr2 site a while ago, that some guys replaced their o2 sensors because they couldn't diagnose a problem and it help them.... Let me see if I can link it, gotta find it...
Edit: found this while searching Oxygen Sensor Information Last edited by honda_bar; 03-12-2009 at 03:22 PM.. |

I'm thinking EGR... We corrected the timing already, cleaned the throttle body and your air filter.... If your car still runs good, I don't think its the compression. Maybe we can also replace the fuel filter if you haven't.

mr2 fuel filters are ~$25 from Mr. T, I was going to replace mines, but got lazy. It's just sitting in the compartment behind the seat haha.

Aren't the fuel filters kind of a pain to replace, or is that just on turbos?
Hey Colin...the KINKO  inserts are only for the front and rear. Not the two side ones. If the problem mount is the engine mount on the passenger side (if I recall correctly) then you'll just need new ones. TRD makes some ![]() |

No! I'm still going to put it on haha.
First time I tried putting it on I couldn't break the bolt loose since the car was on the ground and it was a pain in the ass to get to from top. So I stashed it away until the right time comes. |

Kind of a pain to replace coz the fuel will certainly drip on you hehehee.... When I replaced mine maybe about a year ago, man that thing was all brown gushing out there. Rust particles etc....
I just did the Kragen way tho which was about $20. |

Same here... I couldn't unbolt it but thanks to my impact gun it came right out. i did not use the gun tightening it tho. I just give it a real tight spin.... Other than that its easy.

If I know Tin and I do know him, he's going to reply with "poop" in his sentence somewhere.
Hey Tin how was that in class essay? I was just writing whatever that came up in my mind, I don't think it made any sense really. ![]() |
