By the way.. not sure if their body labor and paint labor cost are the same... maybe paint is a little less like around $50/hour
Colin: body labor 13.3hours x 75/hour = $997.50 Paint labor 15.5hours x 50/hour = $775.50 But yeah, maybe check actual rates first.... That'll definitely cover the whole paintjob on the car ![]() |

Colin's updated Estimate
here you go Colin. You can show to the parents. I think its reasonable. Parts are pretty cheap its the labor thats going to kill them. $2139.31 total replacing all parts OEM not used. It may be half in parts since bodyshops will get used ones out there.

Dang Colin...that's a pretty penny. Try and get them to just give you cash. Bring your two down and we'll fix the body ourselves by replacing the body parts for cheap. Then you can get a nice new paint job
Oh...don't forget to include the price of the wheel. |

Well I think I'm screwed on this one (I really doubt that his moms ins will cover it)...I could have sworn that I have uninsured motorist, I guess I just have it on the G20?
Cause I know that like 20-30 percent don't even have insurance and I thought when I got the MR2 policy, I got the same...The good.... -the guy seems to want to help me out -The hood is salvagable and so is the door (some scratches don't bother me) -the car MIGHT be drivable if I can find someway to peel back the bumper -MIGHT, be able to get the front clip from that guy for $400 ( i love ghetto colors black and red!) ![]() -Davis can have my lip Bad - Need a new fender - Need someone to do the work on it - have to put a stop order on my parts (springs, bushings etc...) - have to ride with one of you guys for the trot... ![]() Mixxer thanks for your help and both Marks thanks for your support! |

Yeah.. if u look closely on the estimate.. I have "refinish" items there for the hood/wheels.. that means the bodyshop will try what they can to fix it without having to buy new parts. So the estimate I gave you is very reasonable....
As i was saying to other thread, for noob, maybe look into some lawyers. They can dig way deeper and make them pay... Its good to here that the guy is willing and trying to help tho... Hope they do |

I just got off the phone with guy with the front clip, he still has it and would be a good deal for $400 and then all I would need is the fender, which he said he could get. Then it's humpty dumpty time...

Nice.... yeah the guy is pretty stubborn with his price. He'll definitely take advantage of you tho if he knew that you need it badly. he also has a black turbo lid.. see if u can get a good price and i'll buy it off you hehehehe

Yeah, it sounded like he was going to raise the price on me and then he asked what I saw it for, then he was like 'yeah *pause I will give it to you for $400) I have a black turbo lid, it's done in semi flat black. I just don't wanna wait to get this fixed......

Yup.. thats what my reaction with the guy. he asked where I saw the ad and how much I saw it for. Oh, so you already have the turbo lid? That guy has one too sitting in the back. See if u can get a good deal from the front clip plus the lid. I'll buy the lid off you. Then i'll stick with the original plan regarding my whole f355 kit with flares
. I was going to take the lid off his hands yesterday but since he didn't want to part out the front clip like what we initially talked about in the email, I got kinda upset and just decided not to get anything from him. |

Like $80... he was selling for $100.... So I thought since you are getting the clip from him, he might give you the lid or package deal for $450 then i'll give you $80 for the lid. I checked it out and its ok. It had the same problem like Tin where it wasn't holding the clip for the lid stand.

hmm I doubt that he will do 80, would you do 90? that is still a good deal if it's in decent condition. But I will try 80

Sorry guys, even if there was room at my school, you can't work on your cars there. Simply because you don't take any auto classes there.
Damn Colin that blows dude. ![]() JR, I don't think anyone makes 235s for 16s >_< But I might have a set of 205/50/16s I wanna get 205/45s so we'll see. ![]() |

Well, there's always my place... how many ppl are expected to show? Like I said, I obviously don't have a pit or a lift at my place, but I do have a 2 car garage and a lot of parking space in front of the house. Hell, we could even BBQ if ppl wanted to bring meat or hot dogs or what not.
