Haven't been on in a day!
I was thinking of NSX wheels awhile back, but the fact that they're +50 sucks. Your going to have to run some mad spacers to make them look flush. What color Tin?Damn Alex that sucks. Well to get TDC you get the crank pulley to 0* and make sure the camshaft marks are aligned. EDIT: Oh and Christian, mr2s that came with no powersteering and no fogs were never prewired. Sorry bud! ![]() Last edited by Davis; 03-20-2009 at 11:12 PM.. |

Hey colin thanx again,
Its really funny though. I have the brackets and the wire sticking out for the switch. But i dont have a place to put the relay (like no metal tabs the relay can hook onto) and there are no foglight wires anywhere. So basicly my car is 1/2 prewired or something. (weird) maybe at one point the previous owner switched out the dash harness (but both of my cars have the wire for the switch but nothing to connect the fogs) Ill keep on reading around and maybe i could find a car that alrdy have the foglight harness in the junkyard 2morrow. |

Double check your work and this is how you can do that. Before turning on the car to cause more damange, just turn the crankshaft with a rachet. Do 180 and 360degree turn maybe a couple of times. Make sure that the belt still line up with the cams' marks if not then your tensioner is not tight enough to hold them in place. When thats set and done. Turn the crankshaft to TDC again and install your dizzy with the rotor pointing on #1 position. Make sure your plug wires are in the correct order. Car should fire right up ![]() |

ya well instead of putting the crank on zero because i cannot because i didnt drop the engine.
i put piston #1 at the very top on the block. i had the dots of the cams lined up with then tick marks on the black cover. ya my belt did move out of place :/ tensioner not tight enough :/ tensioner was a bitch since the spring fell... i think im going to need some help.. this was my first time doing so.. tomorrow imme give it another shot hopefully it works this time.. |

confused.... how could you put the piston up without turning the crank? piston 1 could be up even if its just 180degree turn. You need to have the crank to 0 and piston 1 should/will be up and line it up with the cams then you put the belt on.

Just do it the old school way. Put your finger in the spark plug hole and turn the crank with a breaker bar or ratchet till it pops your finger out

Even if the #1 piston is at TDC, you don't know if it's on it's compression stroke or exhaust stroke.

^+1... thats what i'm trying to explain...
Alex: You need to turn the crank to TDC. That is the correct way. Your friends meathod is by luck. He probably has TDC everytime he does it that way he just doesn't know it. |

not my pic but the same exact ones still inside the metal casing. The ones I have resemble the rightmost rows since the metal is dark(if that indicates anything)
it doesn't look difficult to remove the casing, a weak grinder should do the job. I think its going to be tricky mounting them, I bought them for my fogs for the aw11 but kind of got sidetracked getting the suspension sorted out |

Mixxer want to show me how to wire it to the accessories?? ![]() I put my 91 lights on today, lookin good! ![]() Thanks Kelvin for da pic Ren, whats going on?? we need constant updates here! ![]() |
