You timed that well Frankie...putting yourself on top

Yeah...Ashley seemed really excited and I'm glad to have the car going to someone who will really appreciate it. I can't wait for our Texas + SoCal meet. I was talking to Ashley earlier and she thought maybe Albuquerque, New Mexico would be a good midway point. It was ranked the 2nd Least Expensive Vacation Spot by AAA and it's got lost of space and twisty roads. What do you think???

i think we need to be in your area. because, it would be alot easy to pick up the mr2. plus, you know the area well and there for. easy for you to pick the place. old meet spot to you guys. but, new to us.

i'm about 5-6. yeah...kind of short. but, when i stand next to ashley. i am about up to her nose. i like white girls. they just too tall for me.

oh mark. i got bad news for you. i call my friend today. and he told me it was just a normal 91 turbo transmission. but, he is selling it for cheap. i'm selling mine for around 60 plus shipping.

Hey davis and deucegirl, I'm back to stay.

Love the Cam but gotta drop it soon, it's time to go!

And @ Dorman, of course there is a replacement for displacement! BOOST!

BUT I still love the idea of going with an N/A car for awhile. I figure for my 1st Mr2 I should go easy...

I don't think I trust myself with a turbocharger on a light, 5spd, rwd, midship car just yet

There's a reason Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, The Porsche GT3, and All the BMW M/// Division cars all use NA motors. Better throttle response, better reliability, easier to maintain, and more predictable power delivery. We could also go into Bore/Stroke ratio and its affect on high RPM balance and power curve but that's getting a bit too technical. You could also go back in time when Formula one switched from Turbo charged 1 cylinder engines to V12's. Enzo Ferrari was the one who made the V12 that beat Alfa Romeo and changed Formula 1 forever.

So really there are ups and downs to both. Just go with what you like better. I just like NA...
want to explain the bmw 335 twin turbo hmm?

I'm sure they are, problem is I have a 3000lb FWD auto n/a camry and i've never even driven a stick!

I just think I'd die if given so much power.

335? And the new 135... What about every flat-6 porsche turbo? I love N/a and Turbo, but I think when it comes down to power T>N/A.

driving a stick is really not hard. it's like riding a bike. my ex learn how to drive it in one day. and the next day she took the car to work. hahahah...

ren!!! give him some lesson.

deni, that's why i love that color. plus your mr2 is so clean. i really don't see that color on a mr2 that much. alot of red and black. a few white here and there. anyone know why they make so many red mr2?

haha frankie it actually took me a few weeks to get stick down. course i was 14 and learning how to drive for my first time so i guess that made it a little harder. i have been driving stick ever since, and am so used to it now that when i get in an automatic i hit the brake thinking its the clutch!

edit: no frankie that is a good question. i always thought it was cuz they were going for the "poor man's ferrari" so that is why they made so many in Crimson Red

Today is dedicated to my 11 pages of math homework and english essay!

Yeah I'm going to rebuild the V6 before I drop it in(haha makes it sound easy huh?). I don't want any downtime from autocrossing! Unless I find a cheapy mk1! One main thing I didn't like about the 1MZ swap was the fact it's not a return type fuel system, but luckily my 94' is a return type and the fuel rail is interchangeable.

But hands down, the 3VZ looks way sexier in the engine bay.

Oooo I want to meet this Ashley.
