Clay baring the paint isn't going to make the oxidation go away, you'll need to buff and polish it.

It'll help...

You actually want to do the full detail work. Clay bar, cleaner wax, sealer wax (or whatever), buff, polish...and all that jazz

Lets try that again. This time i'll hold and you pull ......

As I was telling Ji over email, I flushed my coolant when I got home from work. Wow, the lines are so clean and I didn't even need flushing. Previous owner really took good care of the car... Well so I flushed it anyway, run the hose while water is running till its crystal clear.

So, I was having a hard time bleeding the line but I did find a good way. First just turn the car off and fill the radiator. As you fill it up, squeez the lower hose on/off (this is where the thermostat is). You will feel the line is empty and as you squeez it the coolant will clime in. Do this over and over as you fill it with coolant. You will notice/feel that the line will get harder and literally feel the line get filled up...... Start the car and leave it on idle. Put the heater all the way up, open the heater air drian plug and radiator air drain plug. Make sure no more bubbles and keep filling with coolant.............. you should be good to go from there.

It wasn't easy which is why it took me a while. I was thinking it was going to be a 2 hour job and that was it and it took me till 11pm ...... I actually need to check the lines again tomorrow to make sure. Sucks not having a worklight. Need to make sure no air in the system. My temp niddle seems to be about 1-2mm higher than before :

Ren and I spent a good 4 hours doing her system. There was some major air trapped in there. Took a while but I think we got most of it out (I hope). You busy tomorrow mixxer? Give me a call in the morning or in the next half hour...

mmmm my local toyota dealer.... offers detailing and engine bay dressing. for 150... what makes me interested is that they make the engine bay look clean. xD. one of these days i'll let them do it just once

SF-Jim...I'll do it for you if you'd like. What is your goal behind it. Are you looking to quiet down your car, improve audio quality, etc??? I called a few shops and they said it runs between $500-$1000 depending on what you want to do. I have all the detail from three different shops. If you wanna save some money and aren't in a huge time crunch I can do it in under a week for less...

I'm trying to quiet down the car so it's not quite as loud on road trips. I just want to do the floor and behind the seats. How much would you charge me?

You know anyone who does alarm and stereo upgrades too? I just want to replace the deck with something a little better.

On a side note, I just found out I have a slight radiator leak. Anyone know where I can find a Koyo radiator for a 94 N/A MR2 online? I couldn't believe EBay didn't have it.

Yeah we all just got together last night to help Tin and Andrew (boosted penguin) trade exhaust. Well I didn't do anything, I just watched. I also left early since I was tired.
