Mixxer the timing might be off so yesterday i got a backfire out of her but no start... i thought something popped inside the engine bay but my friend didnt tell me until today that it came form the exhaust... so i still need to mess around with that..

Timing still off? How? Well, when you turn the crank to TDC are the cam gears still lined up? If so, then maybe we need to mess with the distributor but I could have sworn it was pointed on 1 after we set the belt.... Again, not sure how you put the crank back or assemble the whole head for that matter. Did you spec out the valves etc??? If those are all golden then the problem is something else. Yeah cause of backfire might be wront timing but again it could be the valves not within spec.
You know what? Ren has a cool tool she recently got (valve adjustment tool ) |

^Those suckers are thick dude...
Alex...Just figure out when you parents will be out of town again...or tell them if we have a meet there we'll probably get your car running. I'm sure that would make them happy. Dang Davis...I feel bad...Probably partly my fault you didn't get enough sleep. Can't wait till i can make it out one of these days. Mixxer...sounds like you're doing pretty well for yourself. When are you gonna open up a shop? |

Your parents seems cool man. I think they'll let you. You know what with my mom, she actually prefers for us to throw parties here or what not than us going elsewhere so she knows we're staying out of trouble ![]() |

ST sway bar for $15 that's a steal! I thought they were the icky green though haha. It's thick, but awesome for the stock class. Haha don't worry about it Mark! Oh and umm Sarah's super cute. ![]() Geez Alex, I'm sorry to hear man. ![]() Haha sorry Matt, I didn't put anymore tape on the car, I was too tired to do it. I was planning to put "Midship Addicted" (What I want to call my shop, if I ever opened up one ) across the rear bumper. ![]() Last edited by Davis; 04-06-2009 at 01:19 AM.. |
