It doesn't look to bad to learn. I just need to get used to playing it consistantly, it's so fast that I get all jumbled up.

So one of my neighbors is moving out and the manager said that we can take over their garage for $50 a month, I'm so down for that. My grandparents are going to talk to her....(since she doesn't like me ) Hopefully I can get it, then the fun begins. It's a one car garage, but I think it's pretty lengthy. Just need to get some worklights and then WAH-BAM! Garage door is shut and noone will know what I'm doing in there hehe.

dude davis the guitar is sweet. i used to play when i was a youngin, haven't played a whole lot since. i used to be pretty good at fingerpicking, but that is kinda hard for me now. i love to play the blues and blues triads, those are my fave. IMO Stevie Ray Vaughn was one of the greatest guitar players of all time, may he RIP.
oh good luck with the garage BTW.

Hey all...I need some opinions!!!

So here's the deal. My sister wants to pick up a MR2 to work on and learn about cars. The car would get used as a commuter car at one point I'm sure...but she still wants one. So I found this (see ad below). It's a 91' SMG NA 5spd.
The good...It has original paint (so it can be restored), it has a black interior, it's a manual, the motor was rebuilt recently, and it's not too expensive.
The bad...It's motor doesn't run (or so the owner says) due to some sort of gasket problem (my guess is head gasket), it's paint is faded + oxidized, and it's been sitting for almost two years.

If the head gasket is the culprit then a top end rebuild should solve the problem. This would be a great learning experience for Angie and wouldn't cost too much to do. Just time consuming. And since she has another car it wouldn't matter how long it took for the most part.

So what do you guys think???

Saw a widebody one "red" going for 4K. I think i'd spend the extra $$$ to get that instead. Still gotta look into the condition tho. But definitely, nothing beats doing your own project from start to finish.

You gotta remember this is for Angie...I don't think she needs a wide body and doesn't wanna spend over $2000. It's going to be a project car...so this seemed like a good option.

Here's the other option:

$2,000 1992 toyota MR2 - $2000 (North hollywood)

Bought the car off my mechanic a month ago, the car was overhauled and has 63,ooo miles. I got it as a daily but I don't have the money to fix three cars right now, the control arm in the rear passenger side was bent and the a-arm in the front passenger side was bent as well. The interior is in excellent condition no cracks on dash, moon roof, 5 speed manual, no radio and black interior. great gas mileage at 22ST/29HW. The previous owner tried to drift it and took the front bumper off and bent the two pieces I mentioned and shown in picture. The car would have to be towed, I can start it for you if you want to see it in person so you know that it runs well. Asking price is 2,000, Great deal considering these cars run about 4 to 5 thousand dollars. If you have any questions please call at (818) 633-9426 and ask for Steven. Tags are good til December of 2009.

209K miles. A/C works awesome! Flip up head lights! 5-speed manual transmission. 1.6L ............. EVERYTHING in this car works absolutely perfect. Ideal for anyone wanting to save BIG $$$ on gas A very FUN and FAST ride. This is a really great car and I'm very sad to see it go, I just have no more room for it here. I am only the second owner and the one before me is my mechanic. We both took VERY good care of it and hope you will do the same. I have NEVER had any problems with this car, it has treated me so well, just as it would like to be treated Please help me find a good home for this classic hotrod!!!

CALL Jonny @ (949) 235-1905

P.S. The date on my camera is wrong, these pictures were taken just this week. Ain't she cute?

I'd try to find a car that has a straight body and isn't salvaged.
