Well, I suggest checking it first prior to replacing them. It is very easy to take them off, putting it back (no inserts) is easy but with the insert oh man thats a different story since there isn't any play to wiggle it left/right
. OEM isalways good to have and the inserts will definitely prolong its life. The inserts are great and big noticable difference. You can feel the torque more when you accelerate. However, it sure is more vibration inside but I don't mind it at all.The mount inserts from twos r us is probably a better deal since it comes with 4 inserts (front, rear, left & right). Hhmmmm I take that back. The picture looks like it is just for the front and rear. I still think it is a better buy than OEM. Twos R Us - Parts for Toyotas from Club MR2 I just checked Toyodiy.com and front mount is $93.76 and rear mount is $86 ToyoDIY.com If I had known that my mounts were trash, I would have gotten the ones from twos r us. |

yeah well i am only running a 5S i don't need sporty inserts or anything. not looking to feel the torque of that motor
![]() just concerned about the current ones being trash. haven't noticed excessive vibes when she idles (when she was running well anyway!) so i am sure they are alright but who knows till i get in there... prob what i will do is the swap first and if the mounts need to be replaced i may just do that a bit later...i am running outta cash unfortunately... |

Yeah good call....
I think mine will be a 5s for a while.... I just want a reliable daily. If anything, I'll probably change the internals to forged pistons etc, port/polish heads for a turbo setup... Still up in the air tho :... Gotta see how Dorman's V6 swap turn out. |

for engine oil? Me personally I do straight 30 and sometimes straight 40 (thicker) since I have some oil leak. Yeah I admit it, my car leaks and thats something I need to fix.
But yeah, I put straight 30 or straight 40 (not 10w30 or 10w40 but straight 30 or 40 on the bottle). As far as the tranny oil, people have different opitions. I put royal purple on mine since that is what me and my brother have been putting for quite some time. |

Davis!!!! Where you at? You should probably get stuff off this guy's car like the brake booster and master cylinder for your turbo caliper upgrade in the future. I thought his price was cheap. I recently bought one for $100
![]() MR2 91+ Brake Booster + Master Cylinder $50.00 Well.... If anyone interested here it is. The guy is local in California so shipping shouldn't be that much MOVING SALES |

Don't know how long ago you have replaced the tranny oil. I think recommendation is every 30k miles. They don't really get dirty in there since it is sealed. No fumes or anything gets in there like engine oil. I'm pretty sure when you flush that you will notice that it is still clean. The reason (i think) that it is changed is so that you can flush out all the debris (small metal chunks from the gears) and prevent it from damaging the whole tranny. |
