ew, i hate blue interior! sorry tin!
Then I will get the switch.i'm also thinking about picking up the pegasus 8000k lights... any comments on that? Oh and thanks for your help Ji, just waiting to hear from AIG on their final verdict... i'm currently weighing my options on where to fix my car, a guesstimate on how much it will cost, where I can get a fender and the two plastic liners, if it's possible to save the hood and lastly, WHERE DO I PAINT IT and how much will it cost?? |

If it wasn't a hardtop i'd say buy a new one. But the fender's you can find on ebay or the board's marketplace. The hood may not be easily salvageable so replacing it if you're gonna paint it anyways might be the most cost effective option. Maybe Mixxer can get you a quote on the paint job from his buddy...

the hood is bent up a bit and the paint is scraped to the metal, sooooooo should it be fixed or replaced? can't really take pics right now. Yeah fenders are hard to come by... the drivers side at least.

If your car is drivable i'll call my friend and we can setup an appointment to get an estimate. You've seen his blogs and i believe one of Davis friend's girlfriends mr2 was fixed there so maybe he can vouch for that guy or he can ask his friend to ask his girlfriend what she thought of the job. The best thing to do I think is to get one person fix the whole thing so that its all one labor cost. If you go here to fix this and another shop to fix that i think you'll end up costing more.
For the fix, I think the hood can be fixed but the fender definitely has to be replaced. Check how much u can get from the insurance. Its hard to get original hood these days but maybe a CF hood is good if you are into those.... Its rare that you see hoods on sale on craigslist. I've seen one a while back for $80 (green like cjung's)...... Oh or maybe that guy Gary where you got your front clip. I'm sure he's going to be happy to hear from you and take you $$$ happily hehehehe |

8k is too blue for me. I have the 4300k on the GS (headlights and foglights) and 5000k on the 4Runner, and 6000k on the Accord. Even the 6000k is a little blue for me. Its really up to you and what you like.
mr.asian.m2, do you get a lot of glare on your 8000k kit? Did you get the projectors/angel eyes or regular glass housings (hella/raybrig/etc.)? |

mr asian, what brand do you have?
I'm slowly putting the two back together (well gathering the parts) I'm close to buying the fender liner and got me the turbo switch.. I just need the fender and another plastic peice and I'm good to go. Mark, I was never planning on moving it around from shop to shop, but possibly for paint I would (I have begun to research...) I'm leaning towards a place that my friend goes to call lanzinis in hunttington beach. They do the body work on OVERHAULIN. At the body shop, I would like to do the following.... 1. fix the small dents on the passenger side -minor 2. fix the hood 3. fix the spoiler and trunk 4. fix the passenger side bottom rear Who knows if the suspension is messed ![]() |

^I guess it might be better to salvage the hood then. Guess you'll just have to wait and see. Still sucks though...
***So I have a favor to ask everyone. As everyone know I like having everything for my car planned out. Could you all help me out in deciding on a color ![]() Here's a link to my thread poll ->Help Me Pick a Color!!!Don't forget to vote ![]() |

Davis? I might be able to work on the car myself afterall regarding changing the crank seals, waterpump, oil pump etc.... I have a PDF of the repair manual and did lots of reading last night. Its a lot of work but its all good. I guess I'll buy all the parts first then do it one of these weekend. DIY would be about $100 if I don't have to change the oil pump and just replace the seals. Found a kit on ebay but will still look around. I want to get a better belt maybe like the HKS one i've seen there. Cost about $150 just for the belt tho or just get the Genuine Toyota timing belt.

thanx mixxer
i looked into those mr2s alrdy infact im gonna b seeing 5 mr2s in person on the weekend i might not end up buyin any in the end since im currently broke my mechanic told me that my car would b driveable if i fix the spindle and strut, but the big @$$ dent will still be there another option that is quite cheap is just buy a rolling shell and transplant parts from my car to the shell, but finding one in socal that is not salvage title will be hard Colin, i rmemeber when i went to pickapart there was a blue mr2 that had its driver fender, and if u go on Nov 27-30, they are having a 50% off sale so you would b able to get it for like 20 bux or something |

Hey Christian, there is a guy who will be selling his blue rolling shell without front and rear bumpers after he finishes parting it out. Don't think it in socal though... |
