His rear strut bar didn't sit correctly. So he broke off one of the bolts and a tap trying to tap it. Sorry buddy. Let me know if you need a hand with it. Mine was a little bit of off, but when I installed mine, I hand threaded the bolts that fit first and then used a screwdriver to move the bar and thread the last bolt; finishing it off with the impact.
I'll call you up tomorrow Colin and get the latest. Davis, I might be up in Long Beach Saturday or Sunday to pick up some subs for the GS. Maybe we can meet up. Let me know what your schedule looks like. Christian is right! I need some cash to fund the GS. Audio plans are all set, just need to buy more stuff! I've already purchased the: 1. Rockford Power 4 channel 2. Rockford Power 2 channel 3. Rockford Power Subs (this weekend) Over the next few weeks I'm planning on getting the: 1. Kenwood DNX8120 2. Boston Acoustic SL60 (front) 3. Boston Acoustic SL65 (rear) 4. 4 to 6.5" speaker adapters 5. Custom Box or fiberglass 6. Amp Rack Still debating over a fiberglass enclosure or custom. So that will be the last steps. Speakers are on order for next week. And I'm waiting for a deal on the nav. If anyone has got one, let me know! If anyone has any suggestions or thoughts, feel free to share them. Last step, RIMS!!! I can deal with the stock ones for winter. Plus with the coilovers going in, it might take Crystal some time to get used to. Curbing stock rims is okay, new 19's staggered...not okay. |

^That's gonna be sweet Dude...
So what about the TRD lines that I now want? Do you happen to have the part number Ji? I'm most likely gonna be headed up to Pasadena on Saturday and was thinking about swinging through Long Beach to say hey to Davis. We should all get together... |

Wow.. thats weird how Davis rear trd strut bars didn't fit correctly. Now i'm wondering if he or the previous owner had a frame damage somehow. I doubt its going to be in the VIN history but its worth to check.... Davis, i can run the vin for you if you want. Otherwise, if it was never reported and the previous owner tried to fix himself then it will definitely not be in the history.
So, how much were the TRD lines? I'm guessing about $200+? Oh, i'll be working on my car as well Saturday morning. Putting those tokico illuminas on and hope to finish around 10am off to a shop and get alignment done. |

I guess i'd really have to get a rear strut bar on mine. As you know, all N/A's dont have it and I have a little bit of fun on my duece every now and then taking the corners pretty fast almost drifting
...Well, time to look for good quality affordable bars .... wish I had the $$$ to spend on the TRD's. |

Ok, now it's my turn to ask you guys about what you think of this color. It's called vibrant red. I have been unhappy lately trying to find a red that I really like. i didn't want anything too dark and changed my mind about in your face red. So after a while of searching, I saw this car today and felt good about the color... Comments welcome!
Edit: I posted a pic of my current color, doesn't seem to be too far off eh? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hey Davis...I wouldn't be headed up to Pasadena till after 4pm. My last client is at 3pm so I'll probably head up there around 4ish. That turbo is a steal. Wish a had a bit more cash... Christian...I can't quite tell from the pictures. If those are the frame rails then it's very possible... |

Christian, I would do what mixxer suggested and get it checked out. Free estimates are always good. Just towing. Hope you have AAA.
Colin: that red is nice. That will get some serious attention. Mark I thought you were saving up for my 2? haha. If everything is accurate and the car checks out, that is a good buy. |

Hey Christian: Buy my 2 and i'll get that turbo LoL.... This way I can keep the engine for a while till it dies before I do my swap hahahaa... but yeah, from the looks of it, it could be a little damaged. I doubt its going to be free estimate tho. A lot of shops these days say the estimate is free if you get the work done through with them. They'll say something like they will waive it if you get it fix with them. I'll ask my bro but i'm pretty sure thats what happen to him.
Colin: That red sure is nice. The red i've always wanted is the red they put on the old 69 mustangs. Candy apple red or something. I've seen it in person before and thats probably the only red i've seen that I liked. All: Well, as you guys know, I am going to put my tokico's later (its 2:35am) so i say later hehehee. Earlier when I was at work I called a couple of shops regarding wheel alignment. Firestone does it for $69.99 6month warranty. You can take it back within 6 months for free alignment just say something is wrong with it or whatever and they will align it again. They also offer lifetime wheel alignment for $169.99. I asked if there is a condition like if you can only do it every certain miles like 3K miles, 4k, 5k and they said no. You can take it for as many times as you want but they recommend at least 2x/year so I might do that after putting on my suspension. Just a heads up for everyone who might be thinking of getting their alignment done. |
