It's socal...all you need is snow pants, board, boots, and bindings. Jackets are nice but what I would buy last since it's not usually that cold...

Watch some youtube video... One trick was to torch the bolt a bit so that it can shrink then immediately use the impact gun to loosen the bolt.... Another is a SST from toyota or a DIY and create ur own tool. Then a breaker bar somehow to unbolt that sucker.

Don't buy the tool.. its easily about $200.... Some guy on youtube did a DIY and cost like $20... I think its best to buy a portable torch you can get at home depot for like $10 bucks.

I'm just moving up to Pasadena for a bit. My roommate got laid off and I need to get a real job so I'm gonna live with the fam for a few months and figure things out. I'll have access to my parents garage (which I've pretty much already taken over with my swap project
). I'll see if I can make it out then...might have time tomorrow night .The V6 project got put on hold because of the move and some other stuff I've had to take care of. I'll be resuming work on the motor this coming week and hopefully be putting it in the following weekend (July 10-12). |

Yeah don't need a hoist for the 5s, the 3s on the other hand you do. All the techs were like yeah it's just easier to drop it.
![]() I'mma just get me a chain wrench, need one anyways when I become a line tech in the future. It's what we use for T belts on V6 tacomas to hold the crank pulley. All good Jeff!, Hmm how bad is the leak? Maybe valvecover gaskets? Hey Mark, you still have the seatbelt/retracter for the driverside from the ex-widebody? |
