I know right! I don't know Franky, everytime I look at her I just want to spend more money on her. She means a bunch to me. I just couldn't sell her. She hasn't broken down on me, she hasn't been moody or anything like that. No "Suprise! You have to spend $500 on me today or I won't take you anywhere " I take the ocassional trip down Pacific Coast Highway just to drive her, I even take the long way home just to have fun with her. My 30minute commute from work to home turns into an hour plus trip.

Wudddup Frankie!!! Way to come back and stay on top

Davis: Let me know when you are stopping by. I told my brother about it and described it to him just like how you described it.... I really thought you took it off but now not sure...... Let me look at Richard's old post. You can probably point it out from there.

Sup MR2 peoples.

Not that anyone cares but I thought I'd update everyone on my precious 2. The agent and adjuster finally got back to me with the estimate. They are quoting $3,029 (good call Mark!) in repairs. I should just scan the estimate and post it for ****s and giggles but basically they will:

- Replace L Fender
- Repair L Door
- Basically replace the entire L suspension. This is where it gets tricky. They want me to pay like $108 in "Betterment" because they consider that I've already used %50 of the life on the suspension and they'll be making it better or something like that, but my thing is "bitche$ I wouldn't be paying $108 if your insured hadn't ran a red"
- Replace front bumper/grille (my lip is sratched!)
- Repair L Rim (they are going to make this look new, will my other 3 look weird in comparison?)
- Paint front bumper/grille, paint fender, paint door, match hood (new clear coat?)

Thats about it. They are using some used/reconditioned/warrantied parts for the body but apparently this is normal practice. I'm kind of worried about the paint, I don't want different shades of black! I also don't want 3 worn looking rims and one shiny new one. But all in all I think I'm in good shape. They will put it up in the air early next week to look for further damage and a possible supplement.

I can't wait to get my damn car back!

Hey Mix, is it cool I stop by tomorrow? I'm pooped from work today and I just found out my bro came to visit me.

Of course we care dude!! Don't pay for the "better." Their "better" would be OEM specs, our better would be Koni Yellows with TRD springs.

Oh yeah, I got a text this morning at 1 AM from my Ex. Her 89' Prelude was stolen! She got off of work and yeah... This makes me very sad and since I really know how her parents are like, she's really stressing out. She forgot to put the Club on, but we all know that if someone wants to steal the car they'll steal it. That's what her parents don't get. So yeah she's stressing right now, makes me worried. Haha geez, I can't let myself go of her can I?..

Oh Yeah!!! Victory Dance...

I'm glad to hear they're fixing it. Make sure they get you a new fender liner. If they replace your lip ask them if you can have the old one (cause I want it ). Yeah...that who thing about paying for the suspension is bull. Just fight the insurance company on it and they give it. Are they giving you any more money for your time and trouble? Cause they should...

No problem... I'm working on an Avalon after work. You can stop by if you like. Changing 10 wheel studs on the rear. Do you know how much does toyota would charge for this type of work?

Damn, I leave town for a few days and there is so much reading to catch up on.

Hamid, glad to hear your car is getting fixed. Davis and Dorman are right, you shouldn't have to pay because you didn't break it! duh.

Mixxer, I have no idea, but I'm sure if you call Toyota, they'll be able to give you an estimate. I hope you are feeling better too.

Davis, its only because you are a nice guy. Ex or not, if she is still a friend and you want to help, that is really big of you. Just make sure she doesn't lead you on or take advantage.

Well I had an idea from way back. Local shop was going to charge me $45 to replace 1 broken stud. I was just trying to figure out how much I will charge this guy and I'm replacing 10 (he's buying the parts of course). Its the labor cost i'm trying to figure out thats all. Maybe i'll charge him $100 for the work.

I guess it would depend on how long it would take to replace them. Was that $45 just labor? Wheel studs are not that expensive (around $2-3/each). So $130, parts and labor, as opposed to $450 ($45x10), would be a hell of a deal for him.

$45 was for parts and labor. Again, thats a local shop removing the old broken stud and replace with a new one....... I'll do a bill for 10 studs. they are easy heheheee..
