Yeah she's still a friend, haven't talked to her in so long though. It's nice to finally talk to her again haha.
I'm trying to get her into buying a miata! Then I'll be able to drive it around. ![]() Hmm I've never changed wheel studs before so I don't know what the labor is on that. But the question is why change the wheel studs in the first place? I'm guessing longer studs for VIP fitment? For sure I'll stop by later today, I have to go to school to finish some financial aid stuff, yeshh! ![]() |

^+1...
Yeah, this guy have wheels and had to use spacers. When you put the bolts to mount the wheel its only like 2-3 turns. Not a lot on the nut as I can tell. So yeah, he says he bought longer studs. |

Ok so yet again I'm kind of bummed in this struggle with the insurance company that is fixing my 2. The original estimated was $3,029. They were going to use used parts for the bumper and fender, but the problem is the body shop can't find these parts and they had to send a revised estimate with prices for NEW parts. This, along with additional suspension damage they find will most likely push the repair costs past the limit the insurance company is willing to pay. In this case they will want to total the car and offer me as little as they can.
I have a feeling they are going to pull some **** where they give me something like $3,400 for my "totalled" car and the repair costs will be like $4,700. I just called the California Dept of Insurance and the guy informed me that yeah basically they are allowed to do that. The best I would be able to do would be to show them ads for MR2s similar to mine and say that it was worth a whole helluva lot more. They would still probably give me lots of crap. THIS SUCKS. |

Damn Hamid! Sorry to hear that. Don't let up on the insurance company. Just like everyone else, they want to payout as little as possible. You should start looking for ads for MR2's to start proving that it worth way more than KBB. If you need anything, give me a call.

hamad or hamid? went through something similar. I think it would be in your best interest to try and find the parts (fender, bumper) and get them to pay for it to keep the costs low and everyone happy. mark knows how fun it is to find fenders :P
congrats davis, I'm jealous. I wanna buy one IF I make into the academy. Im buying an auto art model to ease my cravings of wanting another ride.... looking for an NSX... Don't worry Mexico, this thread is still alive ![]() |
