This f'ing sucks guys. They don't want to pay the $5,200 and are going to total the car. I'm finding autotrader ads to fax the a$$hole agent prices of comparable MR2s for sale. The body shop says it can be fixed just fine, its just they don't want to pay for new parts on the bumper and fender.

How does insurance work on a salvaged car?

Thanks man thats actually one of the cars I'm pointing out in my reply to the agent. There are only 5 1993 MR2's being sold locally according to Auto Trader and only a couple of those will probably really compare. Anything will be better than the $4,500 these a-holes are claiming it was worth.

Thats a freeking 93 HT turbo! If its legit, then its worth a pretty penny. Those are the rarest of the rare. Lots of miles though

Screw Focus Auto sales, they wayyy over price their cars. I remember looking at a 91 NA AMP, they wanted 7k for it. High mileage and it had a busted tail light. But yeahhh, a 93 hardtop turbo and I guess their keeping the foggies to themselves. Oh and whoever painted the roof/engine lid black deserves a

The reason focus auto sales selling cars so expensive because they actually modify the car themselves and fix any problem. I know that they own a few skyline for shows

I don't blame him...the MR2 is way more fun. If he wants to keep it street legal tell him to bring it up to me. I have a Gen2 Turbo motor that's running just fine. If he gives me the car with the motor in it I can use the trans he already has. With the money saved he can get a full exhaust (that's not too loud), some cams, a new turbo (CT27 or something), and still have money to fix any other little problems. I know the cars inside and out and would love to help out

that 93t looks pretty beat, and focus auto sucks. I remember a few years ago I was looking at a couple fd's they had, terrible people to talk to. wouldn't answer any questions and knew next to nothing about the cars

Well ooohhh snap.

Late this afternoon I bombarded the agent with all of my evidence including autotrader ads with explanations and email receipts from two's r us that the previous owner was kind enough to send me. I made a pretty decent case.

I have a feeling they didn't even look at it in detail. I'm guessing they must've realized at the amount of **** I sent that I was pretty serious about not getting screwed. I got a call from the body shop a few minutes ago saying the insurance company authorized the repairs at $5,216 with a couple small open items.

I can't wait to get my 2 back. Thanks for the support guys.
