Yeah...pretty close. I was thinking about going. But it would be too tempting! There have been some really good deals lately!

So I was looking at some Kumho Victoracer V700s in 195/55R14 and 205/55R14. I don't think I'll run in stock class just yet. It's to expensive for me. It came out to around $750 shipped for those 4 tires, heat cycled and shaved. Yikes.

Meh, I'll go buy some bigger wheels so I can fit some fatter tires, hopefully I'll become a bit more competitive with those Miatas!

Man Ji...you know if Mixxer and I get bikes you're not gonna be able to resist. Maybe I'll buy my brother one and you can use it ...

I would try and make the OC meet but my car will probably be out of commission. Plus I want to focus on getting Ren's cars working too...

hahaha...probably not you jerks! I'm not so comfortable riding other peoples bikes (maybe move it for them). Plus, I'd want to 'tune' it. hahaha.

the SW is getting picked up on the 16th, but i am hoping to have it running by this weekend. i am putting the motor back together as we speak, should have the long block together by tomorrow night. i was hoping to have it together by now, but i ran into the usual unexpected snags. plus i am being really paranoid about this build and taking my sweet time, since i want to make sure this kid has no problems driving her around. i want to make sure he gets a good car!
so basically after the 16th i can focus all my attention on the AW. i am hoping to have it running by the weekend of the 22nd! it will depend on how soon i get parts, as i won't be able to order any till i get paid for the SW. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Aw Ren, that's awesome of you. I would do the same thing to make sure the new owner has a great experience with their newly bought car.

oh thanks guys! i know i wish there were more honest mechanics in the world...but hey maybe that will help get my name out there...
Alex i may play with her a bit
my main concern is any drivability issues that may come up, i would like to drive the car around for a few days before he drives her up to Oregon. this way i can deal with anything that may come up right after she starts, not him...plus i'd like to change the oil w/in a few days of the start up cuz i would like to drain out any lil pieces of silicone or cleaning detergents that may still be floating around inside..
