I feel bad for trading it to my dad, but it was kindof lucky that I got out of it. It's getting new rings, and hopefully that's all it needs. I'm really tempted to sell the 240, and buy back the 2, then save some more money and get a 3s swap, but that might take too long and cost too much money. But it's a possibilty.
Both cars are excellent. My first choice a while back was an S13 since there are so many of them and easier to find. This was of course when my brother already had an MR2. When he had a wreck, I was still looking for a car. A year later after that, I finally got my own mr2, owned it for almost 4 years, sold it and now owns an SC400. I still miss the mr2 tho which is why I'm still here and help fellow members

Yeah, I like MR2s better, but my 240 is a 5spd, and my old MR2 was auto, so the s13 was my choice. But 5spd MR2>all 240s.

Yeah I did feel out of place, since I didn't seak Spanish. Naw jk. Everyone was chill.

Haha it depends on the pay Franky! I think Skylines are already rare in the states. I say you import that 98 and do a LHD conversion. Or, you can always find a 98 from Germany, it'll be LHD already.

Why don't you just sell your 240 to a fanboy and get another mr2 David?

Because a local forum here completely devalued 240s a few years back... like... completely. According to the norm in the FS section, my 240 would sell for around 2100. And it's really clean. So if I do sell it, it'll be hard to get what it's really worth. Apparently a few people offered my dad $3000 cash a while ago when it was at his dealer, but he turned them down. :| I would have taken that. Then one day I was there and cleaning it, someone offered $3000 cash as soon as they sold their jetta, but that never happened.

Hey Frankie: uummm... if I had the space and $$$ I probably would and use that as my DD. Unfortunately, I already own 2 cars and have 6 cars on the driveway between me and the family hahahhaa...

Davis: You shoulda called me buddy.... Any cute girls at all?

David48: I would keep it just because it seems like you have the cleanest one around. Who knows, you would probably get people to change their mind about it. There are tons of S13-S15 here in california and has become common but seeing a clean one is very rare. There are tons of mods you can do to that car maybe even more than what you could do on an MR2. Don't get me wrong, I love MR2, its just that sometimes they are a little harder to work on with the space you have.

Wow Ren... I hope you are taking pix and post a writeup. Those are always fun to see and read about specially knowing the person who actually did it .

Davis: Daym you thought wrong heheheee... What? That's it? Just Alex's gf? I guess he wasn't expecting anyone else and his gf had to be there in the first place because it was Alex's b-day right? I would have at least thought that Alex's gf's mom would be there LoL....

Good luck with the career change... Medical field is always good buddy .

oh yes i will be taking lots pics. i already have but i just am too lazy to post em up yet.

davis i don't have a lot of money i have been saving for this. in order to drive the car safely i have to overhaul the brakes and struts, so i figured i'd go cheap on the struts and splurge a bit on the brakes, which i will prob need anyway since i'll be hitting canyons like crazy!

PS also i have been spending a lot of time comparing prices so i am getting pretty decent deals on everything.
