If the rotor is warped, you WILL know. Everytime you brake you will feel a pulsation in the steering wheel.
Oh Christian, sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday. Can't do it today man! |

yeah nothing on the tire.
mark is there anyway other way the disc brake could be deformed? Davis would this pulsation get slower as i am almost to a stop? i'll drive around when i head out to school and observe more carefully. |

If the rotor is warped, you will notice it more when you are braking from a higher speed. Depending on how warped it is, the more you will feel it shake the steering wheel. How old are your rotors/brakes?
**EDIT: Just re-read your post. Is the thumping gone from Frankie's suggestion? Is the steering wheel shaking an additional symptom? |

umm if the sound of the thumpin is a high pitch sound, it could be the dustpan hitting the rotor...
np Davis, i was kinda busy today also. |

I will check the dustpan since it's all bent, and move it away from the rotors.
to my records i had the brakes done 27k miles ago. but i think we had the rotors resurfaced @ that time as well. |

Deni.. it does not matter if you had the rotors resurfaced 100miles ago.. Improper use of brakes will warp the rotors in no time. (Improper use meaning if you brake hard all the time and lock the wheels).... I know not too long ago you had a post going up/down at Palomar.

i didn't use my brakes that hard when i was coming down that hill xD i was passing people though. i'd be measuring and examining my rotors and checking pads, and for anything loose.

Well, you said 27K miles ago so who knows. Thats a lot of miles on them already. Buy the OEM rotors and maybe it'll last 150K miles before you get this issue again. Thats assuming your rotors are warp. You did say your tires are ok. Have you ever fixed that tie rod end or control arm that bent when you hit the curve? Maybe your wheel hub bearing is mess up and now just showing signs? Are the wheels "true" (meaning straight/balanced)? Bushings are all still good?

hey, i got bored last weekend and end up working on my exhaust. i really wanted a new one. maybe from ems powered or the berk exhaust. but, until i get one. i went with the cheap way. which is to redo my exhaust. my exhaust before had 3 layer of paint on them. first two was black. and the last was white. yeah... not fun taking off the paint. then, i also ended up cutting out the back grill where it cover the exhaust.
here is the pic of the before... ![]() and here is the one where i finish with the grill and cleanning off the paint. hope you guys like it. because, it's no turning back. can't glue the grill back on. sorry...pic was taking from my phone![]() |

Wow Frankie looks good... Did you cut the grill? It does look cleaner tho but I would have kept the grill (just me).
Hhmmmm Ok Deni here is the thing. The more you wait on fixing stuff, the more chances of other things breaking down unless you do not drive the car at all and leave it parked in your garage/driveway LoL. C'mon man..... If you are still driving the car with bad control arm/tie rod it will affect everything else on that side. You're lucky i'm not charging you for free consulting or i'd be so rich right now ... You seem to have the time, read the BGB just for the heck of it. |

it's not like i'm not looking for the parts. seems 93 suspension is hard to source out. i had the car parked in the garage for almost 2 months. then my dad was like drive it or sell it. and thats where i am now. Been sending out PMs and checking both boards everyday for these parts.
and actually no i don't have all the free time in the world. school everyday 8 am to 8 pm |

man, that suck deni.... have you check parts at xl parts? it's pretty cheap there too. pretty close to oem parts. but, it's true on what mixxer is saying. leave one thing broken and the next parts next to it will soon follow.
mixxer.. yeah i cut the grill. i should of bend it up or something. but, i got lazy to take off the exhaust in order to bend it. it's not like i be using it anymore anyway. when are you planning on getting other 2 |

deni..i do have better one. give me a few day to fix afew of the photo. and i'll post it all up at once. you guys will love them.
davis...what? you don't like the grill off? i'm not planning on keeping the TRD exhaust. swapping it out with the ems powered or the berk exhaust. i think it look alot better without the grill. oh..xl parts is kind of like auto zone parts. more alot better and cheaper. guess you guys don't have it in cal. maybe they do shipping too. check around online. |

.... Again, u hold off on fixing stuff you'll end up spending more to fix another thing.... I think there are so many parts out there and you just don't want to pony up the $$$ you cheap bast'd .... Your dad is right... Drive the thing or sell it. Give me something to think about and i'll probably take it off your hands. ![]() Frankie: you should have just trimmed it... I actually like how the grill looks how it gives the mr2 a little texture per say.... Well look read up top ^... Deni is freaking crying with all these things and yet dont want to pony up the $$$ to fix the car. So if he gives me a dollar amount maybe i'll steal the car off from him ![]() |
