colin...yeah, you have to sand it down ever so lightly, buff and then clearcoat.

i try that yesterday and it came out really nice. but, i didn't clearcoat it yet. was thinking about outlining it black. also try it on the 91 tail light too. came out great.

was the oem slightly faded o.0 or was it completely black? the previous owner just made the whole damn thing red, and it oxidized (reason why i sanded it all off)

YAY for Costco Moble1!!!

Little update for you guys. I have good news and bad news...then just some news

The good: The V6 swap is almost finished. I have a little bit more to do. Not gonna say how long it'll take because they always causes problems

The bad: The red car decided to develop rod knock a couple days ago so it is out of commission and need a new motor.

The news: Good in someways...I have a turbo motor sitting in my back yard so it looks like the red car will be getting a turbo swap in the next two month

I'm so tired of taking motors out of cars it's not even funny

Damn Dorman! I knew you would eventually get a turbo...too bad it had to happen this way. Good thing you have the extra motor in the back.

nice mark. a turbo huh? you're going to love it.

and the oem light. i think it came in black. but, not really black. it's kind of like a very dark red. make sense to you?

update on the car i been working on. didn't get to buff and wax it out yet. had to wait for other 2 weeks before that could happen. painted all the side molding around the car. made a big different on the look.

you can always paint the center panel to match the rest of your car. or paint it the same black you will use for your outline on the light. i think that would look good too.

I vote black if my vote means anything. lol I don't like color matched center panels as far as the 91-93 center goes.
