Thats what everyone would do anyways (buy a new MC). Even my bro did it for his corolla instead of just replacing the seal.

Your car does not even look that bad at all. If anything, i'd work anything and everything on whats wrong with the car and do the paint job last. Its not going to make your car any faster at AutoX when it has a brand new paint job hehehehe

Sup party people. Its been a while. After my accident I've had a suspension and clutch and/or turbo issue that I've been waiting to fix and now I'm about ready to get them fixed and do it right. This is my list of mods:
- ATS Stage 2 CT27 combo kit - Clutch (NO IDEA WHAT TO DO HERE??) - Koni Sport Adjustable Struts (I already have Prokit Springs, I should be able to still use those right?) - Berk, ATS Racing or SMAX intercooler, haven't decided on this yet - Some type of decent boost controller, oil pressure gauge, oil temp gauge What do you guys think? I'm kind of wondering if I should get this stuff done, or put the money into an engine rebuild. I don't like the fact that my compression is 120 but the engine seems to be running fine. Also, any recommendations for the clutch? I am damn excited. |

just make sure you do it right. if you have the money fix everything. accessories probably can be on a hold, if funding is low. with the clutch i've been hearing good things about exedy (i think that's how you spell it)

^Spelling is correct. Exedy is a good clutch.
Glad to hear from you man, its been awhile. Are you planning on tracking your 2 Hamid? I like the stock clutch since I drive like a grandpa. haha. Here is a Phoenix Power IC (Linked). There are some good deals out there man, let us know when you start buying so we can help you look for the best deals! |

I don't plan on tracking the car.
I will be buying the stuff at the end of the month with installation planned in mid-late december hopefully. I might just get as much of the stuff as I can from ATS. Also, I kind of would rather get things new. I know that there are some good deals out there but I have no clue what is beat up and what not and like I said I want to do things right the first time. What do you guys think about the ATS Intercooler? Also, I can't find pricing on the Exedy clutches; I see them on the exedy website but can't find pricing. The Clutchmaster Stage 3 on ATS is going for $500 (why do they have a Stage 1 and Stage 3/4 but no State 2?) |

The prokits will fit the Konis.
Buying new if its within your budget is always the best bet. If you aren't tracking your car why get an aftermarket clutch/flywheel? The ATS intercooler is just like the Berk and EMS ones. The core is identical and probably sourced from the same manufacturer. If you are ordering everything through ATS, make a list and email it to them, they might give you a 'volume' discount. hahaha. It never hurts to ask, especially in this economy. Here is a brand new Exedy Clutch f/s. |

Well the reason I'm thinking about replacing the clutch is because everyone I talk to about what I think is my turbo problem is saying my clutch is slipping so I'm budgeting it in at this point. They are all saying "if the RPMS are climbing and the car is not going faster, IT CAN ONLY BE THE CLUTCH", so yeah. I won't be able to confirm it until I get a thorough diagnostic done on it in the next couple of weeks.
Also, yeah I'm definitely going to contact ATS and see if they can give me a little discount or something. I'll be ordering quite a bit of stuff from them. Question, the Koni Yellow Sports that ATS has on their website for $163 a piece are the same thing that twosrus is selling for $347.50 a pair right? Some places sell them in pairs and some singly? |
