What wheels are you referring to? Also, after you used the rubbing compound, did you polish to bring the color back and then put a coat of wax over it? Which rubbing compound did you use? ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for the pics, I see what you mean. Probably not going to go on for a while, but heh, at least I have it. The eims that I was referring to, was yours. I like your rims but I would want a different size (16") and color (bronze).
MY realistic mOD LiSt as follows (in order).... So now you know what I'm doin next. Post yours if you got one. -springs/suspension components -parts needed, then PAINT (bumper, lip, lid[check!]toms scoop? dark emblems?) -goodies (TRD SMBs,fogs?toms air box?$$$) -wheels/rims -konis? |

It's heavy but a bit lighter than the na.
I finally have my Konis installed!!! The ride is so awesome. I was so used to the bouncyness and harshness of the blown oems, now it's riding nice and smooth. Still have to mess with the 5 settings though.. ![]() |

Sucky...that's so cold. Ben's dreaming...of a white Christmas...haha. Hope you make it back sooner than you expect to.
Hey Davis, does this mean you can help me out when it's time to do my suspension? And since we're making lists. Here's mine... 1) finish my freaking Tail light, Clear Corner, & fog light project... 2) Brake upgrade (already have turbo calipers and parts)... 3) Put in new drivers side window... 4) The tint job should go right around here... 5) Get my turbo lid painted and mounted... 6) Get tires and mount my wheels... 7) New suspension (TRD's, Konis, Ball Joints, Tie Rod Ends, and Bushings)... 8) Full interior project (items needed: Steering wheel[owned], Leather for Seats, Push Start Button, Material for dash, headliner, etc...) 9) Flat underbody panels and 93+ lip (painted)... 10) Custom Diffuser and Matching Exhust system (preparation for V6 swap). Hope to get all this done before next summer...then...the V6 It's a bit optimistic...but I think I can get it done... Last edited by Mark_Dorman; 10-10-2008 at 02:52 AM. |

Colin, the rears were basically the same as the fronts but yeah it was done much much faster.
And sure Mark, as long as you have a vice, pipe wrench, and a glandnut wrench tool thingy. ![]() Okay my list: -V6 -New Alarm -and other little misc things that I'll get if I can find a killer deal on them, 94 seats *looks at Matt*, 94 tail lights, 94 trunk + wing, fogs, toblerones, TRD rear strut bar, TRD sways, etc. ![]() -Oh yeah, paint, no idea when. |

Okay...so I need some opinions on something. I'm trying to decide if I want to paint my wheels a gunmetal silver or leave them bright silver. I have the same rims as Davis (5 spoke 300zx TT rims). Here's the f430 with both colors. What do you guys think?

Keep it silver Mark. It'll look much much cleaner.
I'm going to be selling my wheels soon also..with the route I'm going, these aren't acceptable. ![]() |

Dude...Matt...Mister MIA himself. Where have you been? Glad to hear you're still alive. You coming to the tint meet next sunday?
Oh...and my Turbo Lid came today! Here's a couple pictures. It needs paint and some patch work for where the fiberglass is a little dinged. But it's good other than that. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Mark_Dorman; 10-13-2008 at 08:12 PM. |
