Are they the same connectors to hookup the air bag harness? I've always wondered about this. I'd like to put the mr2 spyder steering on mine. yeah, i want to keep the air bag damit hehehehe

Yeah...I'm the same way. Wanted a working airbag but I like the IS wheel a bit more. Looks higher quality even though it's not . Yeah...you need this adapter...
SPX Toyota | Tool Detail
You have to order it through the 800 number and it's always on back order so it takes almost a month to get

ic.. Well good to know. I'll probably just buy a male/female connector at a local radio shack and convert it myself if thats the case. I just wanted to make sure that there isn't any change in the sensor circuit module and that the air bag will still deploy. Sweeetttt....

Oh, I liked the mr2 spyder ones because they are smaller just like the aftermarket steering wheels. Aren't the lexus' bigger diameter?

I've done a ton of research and haven't found any info on the the sensors and ecu not being able to control a new airbag. The lovely thing about toyota is they rarely change stuff. Yeah you can wire it up however you want. I just want the adapter incase I need to switch it out. It's only ten bucks so I figured it was worth it. Also...the cruise control wiring looks a little different so you might have to repin the connector. I haven't looked at it that closely yet though...

Lol when I sell the cam cam I'm letting it go for $500. Any takers?

And guys I'm sad to say this, but I'm considering selling my mk2. I've been thinking about it for awhile and I don't want to put any more into her. So I'll sell her as is and then I'll be able to get a cheapy mk1 and the rest goes into getting a tool box for work.

alright!!! i'm going to have davis's mr2 for parts. hahaha..just joking man. but, for real. don't do it. keep her. if you do. you're going to have nightmare for the rest of your life. i know i did....when mine got stolen for 3 years.

and guys..let me know if this is a good deal. i'm planning on doing a even trade for a white mkI for my 97 honda civic. i'm not sure what year the mkI is. but, look really clean. and it's also a sc mkI. everything look oem on it. i'll ask the owner next time to see if it's a 88 or 89. oh, i'll try to take some pic of it too.

I've already made up my mind guys. I need the money. If my boss gave me more hours at work, this wouldn't happen, but I've asked a second time and a no go for more hours. So expect to see the for sale thread in a couple weeks.

Franky! Do it! SC MK1 ftw!

There are other ways to make $$$. Do some auto services to friends and family. I do it all the time and make at least $100-200/month ... Its been slow lately tho.

Hey Dorman, whats your email address? Or email me at Loh_Ji@yahoo.com

**EDIT**
Sorry to hear that Davis. I just read over the previous threads. Times are tough right now and people are not fixing their cars (premature maintenance at least). If there is anything I can do, let me know.

Dude...I'll pay you for helping me with the clutch job and doing the tranny swap with me.

Also with the economy the way it is you won't be making that much off the car anyways. You'd probably get more from selling your PS3 and the camry. Just pick up another part time job just to get through the tough times...

Hey Ji...I'll text it to you.
