Another thing about my friends, some of them are also mechanics.

and others are cheap as hell.

Sooo.. I priced out the tools I need and one of the boxes I want, $2000-$3000 depending on the box I get.

Don't you get tools when you finish school. This is like the PS3 thing. You want it but don't need it. Because of the economy you won't get that much for your car and you'll just end up buying another one in a couple years and it'll cost you way more...

Nope I don't get tools when I finish. We have a program at school with Matco and Snap-on that gives us 50% off on tools when you sign up. And my discount for it ends in June so I'll need to buy as much as I can.

well that's understandable. But still...why not sell the other stuff (IE camry, PS3, etc...), not buy a MKI, and do some work with me for some extra cash

Hahah, well I don't think all of that being sold would get me enough money to get it, but I am still selling the ps3 and whatnot. Back in November I was hoping that I would be getting more hours during winter break so I can save up and buy tools, but that backfired haha. ****ing ******** man!

yeah just surfing on whats out there "keyword: mr2" and that came up as one of the hits... Not a bad deal for that one tho huh? I hear they are good when brand new then after a year or two it starts to suck
