1st Annual MR2 Turkey Trot (Nov. 16th 2008)

From the same people who brought you Hot August Nights comes a meet of epic proportions.

The meet will take place Sunday November 16th. Colin (Honda_BAR) and I will be your hosts. We will meet at Fashion Island in Newport Beach at Noon (12:00pm). We will hang out there for a bit and make sure everyone is together before we take off on our cruise. We'll head down PCH and end at Ruby's Autodiner in Laguna Beach for food. I will probably be staying till the end so I'll be there as late as Eight or Nine.

All the different groups should Carpool to Newport. The San Diego and Southern Orange County people are gonna all head up together. The LA and IE people should do the same. This meet should be a lot of fun. I'm stoked to see everyone again. Directions are below with a google map link.

Regarding cruising we should cruise the canyons sometime. I used to be a sportbike rider and tear up the canyons on weekends. Yes, used to be. Trying to get back tho. Had a bad accident in 2005 (drunk driver got me). My buddies and I goes to just about any canyons you can imaging. Los Angeles Crest forrest, muholland, GMR, Hemet, Palomar, Idlewide etc... I think those could be fun to cruise around.

Please dont get it mistaken by haulin @$$ hehehe. Cruisin it on the 2 would be great. Lots good site seeing.

If I'm in town and still have my 2, I'm down for a Newport to Laguna trot. Been a while since I've done that.

Hey gsxr...We'll have to do a canyon cruise sometime for sure. I've done Palomar and Angeles Crest. Some twisties would be fun to do. Maybe for our next meet and cruise.

I would love to keep it, but where would I park it? And who would drive her? I would put her in a storage unit, but if I do that, I'll never see her and this way someone can enjoy her. And I won't park her outside.

Yeah i was leaning towards "I have a better idea" but that idea hasn't come to me yet LoL. That idea I had in mind was just the cruising part. I dont mine going either Ruby's or BJ's.

Maybe someone host it at someone's pad? hhhmmmmm
