So I'm flip flopping again on what swap to do...

I was pretty set on the 1mz but I keep thinking about how much easier and cheaper the 3vz is...I don't know...what do you think all????

Davis...do you think it'd be better to just buy a car with an old 3vz in it so I have all the parts and just do a swap that way instead of trying to buy the engine?

On the other hand, i wanted to do a v6 swap mainly because I think it will last a lot longer than a 4cyl engine would.

heh.. I ruined 2 1mz's already.. so dunno what makes you think a 6 will last longer than a 4 banger..

that's all I gotta say.

and

to the OP.. gosh your machine shop is expensive.. I guess its either that or my machine shop hooked me up a lot!

I gotta agree there's no reason to think a v6 will last any longer than an I4...it's just how you treat it and the condition of the engine to begin with...

But yeah...to each his own

I'm working on sourcing an engine right now. People want so much money for a 17 year old engine ...
