Drop A Deuce Lowering Meet - Sunday - 02.22.09 (Norwalk, CA)

That's right people...Drop your deuce, BBQ, and hangout with everyone on Sunday February 22nd. If anyone has a problem finding it my number is:
949.648.4434 - Mark Dorman

We will be holding a less formal get together at Mixxer's (masagsxr) house in Norwalk. The meet will consist of lowering anyone's car who has the parts, eating, and enjoying the fellowship of our "cohort" (<- I know someone gets it ). We will collectively provide the tools and expertise to get the job done. If you're interested make a note by your name and we'll come up with a game plan.

We'll also be BBQ'ing and it would be awesome if everyone showed up. Last BBQ we did was a blast and this one will be a little more planned out so it'll be even better (PS - it's Abner's turn to grill ). This will probably be an all day event so I'm sure people will come and go...but if you're gonna come bring $5 to kick in for food. We'll do Korean BBQ, Chicken (of some sort), etc...and maybe Egg rolls if Viet comes .

I will edit this later to add details on the location (IE address and directions). Don't forget to thank Mixxer for being such a gracious host .

Thanks Mixxer! You are awesome. Thanks for hosting.
I will be attending. Bringing a 1994 Camry for new strut cartidges and my 2 for temp sending unit and thermostat (maybe my cluster for the upgrade), if I don't do it before the meet.
Tools I'm bringing:
2x Hydraulic Jacks
4x Jack Stands
Breaker Bar and my portable tool box
Dremel
Torque Wrench
etc...
Mixxer, if you have an air compressor, let me know and let me know what size too. I might be able to bring an airsaw and impact tools to make the install go a lot faster.

List:
1. Mark Dorman (Mark_Dorman) - Lowering (White MR2)
2. Colin Berry (Honda_BAR) - Lowering (smorgasbord MR2)
3. Angie Dorman (Mark's sister) - Lowering (Silver IS300)
4. Cynda & Vince - Strut Cartridges ('94 Camry)
5. Ji - Temp sending unit/ Thermostat/Gauge Cluster (MR2)
6. ???

Most of us have the springs and shocks. Mixxer has a spring compressor and three or four of us have worked on suspensions before. We'll just be jacking up cars and swapping parts.

I got that Speedo if you need it...

The suspension isn't that difficult to do. Just time consuming. If you have dremels and dremel accessories (metal cutting wheels) bring them in case we can't use the airsaw.

Alright Mixxer! This will make it so much easier. I'll try to see if I can get those accessories asap. Let me know what else you need. Its better to have more tools than not enough. Maybe label the bigger items so it doesn't get mixed up or better yet we'll work in teams. If anyone is able to bring anything post it up so we can see what we are missing.

What type of coilovers do you have noobiii?

Yo Mark.. I remember you bought a set of TRD SS brake lines. We can put that on as well while we're at it if you want. Not sure if you remember but I have a pressure bleeder kit

Oh yeah, just buy a couple of bottles of this (Prestone Brake Fluid: Dot 3; High Temp; 32 oz.)

While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at PartsAmerica.com

Thats what I have on it right now and I prefer not to mix it with other fluid. I suppose I can dump it on a tub and put the fluid you prefer to use then I'll just dump it back when we're done. This is what I have if you guys had forgotten.

TrackHaus sells brake bleeding tools and the Motive brake bleeder

you're welcome... just trying to help every way I can... wooot wooottt... can't wait..

Damn Mixxer. Maybe it would be easier to make a list of what you don't have! haha. Mark, if you want synthetic brake fluid, go with Motul RB600. Thats what I use in my two.
