If it's in the crime free areas maybe. I know they get pretty bored. 25 of use drove down PCH from Newport to Laguna and didn't have any trouble...

well you both have valid points.
the cops up here are bored, but i don't think that we would get harrassed if we were just meeting up and driving...
if we meet up and bump our bass and then start drifting thru canyons and acting like a$$es then we might get harrassed....

Yeah...legally they can't do anything till we start breaking the law or are doing something that warrants serious suspicion.

legally..
but i've gotten my car impounded when all i did was park at the top...
the cop told me to pop my hood on my civic and say that i had an intake filter so i told him its not illegal the sensor is still connected..
so then he said my tranny was dirty and he was going to write me up for emissions.
and then he ran my license and took my car away :/
when all i did was chill at the top with a coke in my hand and a cigar in the other ..
i cant wait until they tell me to pop my hood on my mr2

imma tell him that my car runs on hopes and dreams

and then a week later i did this to it

thats me looking away siting on the hood

haha i lost traction and slid into the mountain..
never run on tires when they are down to the wire especially on wet roads.

You know you could have sued the cop? They cannot legally ask you to open your hood without probable cause and they have to tell you what that probably cause is...and the only ones I know of are blow off valves and front mount intercoolers. You should've gone ballistic on his ass.

yeah i spent last rainy season on bald tires in the Deuce...it was scary and fun at the same time!
and cops still hate even the crappy Hondas

Yeah...you gotta be respectful. The nicer you are the more likely your are not to get harassed. There are a lot of sketchy cops out there too so I wouldn't pipe up too much if you're in a secluded area. I've heard some messed up stories about cops. It's also tough cause a lot of them are good people. But a lot of them are losers on a power trip. Just try and be polite...it can never make things worse.

It's true...good cops hate the bad ones as much as you and I cause it just gives them a bad name. It's kinda like our feeling towards ricers...

and i had encountered the cool cops..
but as soon as i started getting older cars they would keep stopping me
except in my toyota truck

i loved that 22r..
but ya i guess cops kinda like me :/

nope even though i took it to the canyons and still made it handle..

subi's, evo's, 350z's, 86's, honda still couldnt keep up with the truck

most people stop at the bottom after a run to scope each others cars out..
but i guess these guys were to embarrassed and would just go home
