god no! (knock on wood)
plus what a horrible time of day to run the canyon!
glare everywhere, and what about motorcycles?
that guy was lucky to walk away....

i'm not sure what that red light is for. but, i would never run my mr2 that hard. i did a run like that about 2 weeks ago. but, it was more of a chilling kind of ride. i'm about to do the same cruise again in a week or so. lets see if i can video the run this time.

it seems to me that they are not very familiar with that mountain.
personally i kinda thought he could have ran it harder
but he hesitated at points going thru the apex where he could have laid it down a bit more
and he was def over working the motor at points where it wasn't needed

Maybe we was trying to keep the rev's up to maintain boost?
It looked like an official event so its possible they hadn't had much experience on that run. I used to drive Lake Washington Blvd in seattle a couple times a week at night and it took a couple months to be close to as fast as some of the other guys...

when i drive if i dont know the mountain i just look at the actual mountain itself and you can predict how the next turn will be..

You can predict but there's still no way to be as fast as someone who knows the mountain/road really well. That knowledge makes a big difference...unless you are a serious gambler and go balls out on roads you don't know...I personally like my car too much

Tell me about it...learned that the hard way...but it was on my R6. I just got lucky my bike didn't end up at the bottom of a cliff...

Here's the best mountain ever though...

And here's how I got lucky and walked away with only this...
