He'd be retarded to appeal it. It'd just take up more time and cost him more money cause he'll have to cover court fee's and if he wanted to have any fighting chance he'd have to hire a lawyer who was willing to take the case. So in the end he'd probably be out another $3000 in addition to what he owes you.
