Ouch !

Spun out this morning and thank God I didn't hit anyone. Small dent on the Volk. My Deuce is fine. Does anyone knows a reputable rim repair shop in the Los Angeles Area?

Damn...sorry to hear that. I'm glad you are alright. I've heard some good things about RBMotoring (RB Motorsports: Wheel Repair). They are in City of Industry. A lot of the Lexus guys use them and they do all the work in house, so less down time for your repair.

The car oversteer and went over the curb on the freeway ramp. I think I hit an oil spot and the car hydroplaned loosing all traction.

In my experience it's too much counter-steer that causes the MR2 to spin out upon losing traction in the rear. Combined that with inappropriate throttle and you're in for a 360.

i didnt spin out on that one... i just went onto the rail trying to avoid hittin another car( didnt want to go through court n all that)

but before that i spun out in the 5 freeway before... that was crazy... i probly did like 4 or 5 spins before i ened in the bushes. turned out that my car was perfectly fine except the fact that there was some branches stuck underneight my car.

I was on the throttle when the car hydroplaned on me. Then I hit the brakes but it was too late.
I should start taking drifting lessons, probably would be able to control the car better.

Maybe...hydroplaning is one of those things that's hard to control even with experience. I'd just be more careful in the rain. Either way the car with stock suspension feels too loose for me to control in a full drift comfortably...can't wait for my new stuff to go on

I drop the rim in the morning @ RB motoring. The rim was ready at 6:30 pm. I came back shinnier than before. They fixed and polished the entire lip. I was not able to tell the difference. It looks like brand new again.
This shop has a bunch of racers like 350zx, 240sx, Silvia, and my favorite Skyline. Great service and reasonable price. Enjoy the pics.

Gixxer, This job cost me around $100 bucks. They also took care of a curb rash on my other wheel for another $65 bucks. They all look flawless now. If you got high end wheels are worth the effort. The more damage the wheel has on it, the more $$$ you will need to fix it. You will love this shop. So many badass rides...

Thanks Richard... i'll take the wheels to them and see whats up. We went to a few shops and they said its not repairable. I'm jsut thinking that maybe they can replace the whole lip. I think its worth it for those wheels sitting in my brother's garage
