June 14, 2009 AutoX SoCal!
Who's down to go AutoXing with me SoCal?
I know, it's not until next month, but I was bored. ![]() This is the Championship event, not Practice! Just to let you guys know. It will be at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana on a Sunday. California Sports Car Club - Solo - SCCA All you'll need is a helmet that is: SA: SA95 or newer. K: K98 or newer. M: M95 or newer. SFI: 31.1A, 31.2A, 41.1A, 41.2A BSI: BS6658-85 type A/FR If you don't have a helmet, they have loaner helmets, make sure you bring a head sock though! Also, your car should be in good running condition. No leaks that drip down to the ground now! And make sure you have a battery hold down. Oh and to make it easier on yourself, remove as much loose items you can at home, so that at the end of the day your not stuck there throwing your stuff back in the car. You can register on site. Registering is $15 if your not a member and then $30 to run. If 3 runs is not enough for you, you can buy X-Runs for another $25. Which consist of an extra 3 runs, yay! Or if one of you guys just want to tag along, you can ride with us during our X-Runs! ![]() I always get there around 7am, so make sure you get plenty of sleep and a good breakfest! You don't need to buy a helmet, they have loaner helmets at the event if your interested. Just make sure you have a head sock! But if you want to buy one, make sure it's snell rated. You can get them at motorcycle shops.

No, it just means your runs will count. My first event was a championship and I spun out millions of time, who cares about time anyways, just do it for fun! Thennnn care about time later down the road.

It is on your first and second run, but never the third for some reason.

The thing I love the most about autocross is launching off the line

The other thing I love about launching off is that after you launch, there's already a turn and you leave it in gear and your bouncing off of the rev limiter!
