hahaha. No worries, just let me know. Ohh and x on the corolla! The '02 Accord is cool, just don't get the V6. Lots of transmission problems. Celica is nice too. Have you guys looked at an RSX? They are getting pretty cheap now.

Mix, got to convince you know who first! hahaha. I just convinced her on some other toys so we are going to get those first. I'll just do the brakes all together when it needs to be done. I already put some EBC greens on the GS when we bought her. So it will probably be awhile. SS lines and possbile bbk when it needs to be replaced or its just a waste of money right?

ahh switched out fuel pumps today and that is not the problem..
i think the problem starts to get into electrical which i have no clue how to do so i guess tomorrow begins the fun?
I gotta find out what is sending a signal to the ECU to turn off the car at Operating Temp.. when the car is cold it idles perfect... but as soon as the car reaches operating temp the AFM starts closing slowly until the car shut off :/

Maybe ignition coil starts to heat up and causing an open circuit??? What made you think it was the pump in the first place? Oh well, i'm sure it feels better that at least you have a new pump

Your problem is in the ignition system.... I'm not sure if the car has this but I see this problem a lot with motorcycles. There is a module called "rectifier". It is like an amplifier for the ignition of the motorcycle. A few of my buddies have this problem on thier bike and we could not figure out what it was. Took the car somewhere to diagnose and behold it was the rectifier. Its a computer module fabricated around on like a heat shield.

Just like this one.

As I said, when that thing heats up, you can't start the bike till its cold. Even when the bike is cool, 5mins later it'll stall.

so it has to do with the ignition system? i do have a part that looks similar to that in my 2 its called the Fuel Resistor Solenoid.. but it ohms out okay 3 ohms when touching B+ terminal to 10 terminal and B+/20
I did read about the ignition coil..
but how would this be possible if i've switched them out between the 2 i have..

Again, when cold its ok.. When it gets hot, the circuit opens up and should ohm out 0 or infinity (a short).

HHmmm... weird if you have another and still does the same thing. I would follow where that leads to and test that other part. That part could be delivering too much power when it gets hot. I think you are getting closer. I know its a pain but check every connectors make sure they are plugged in the right place. Make sure all the grounding points are solid.

Keeping it open will not help.. Thats not a solution and you could end up breaking other things... Its definitely one of the sensor(s) i think... How about oil pressure? Water temp? Any codes at all?

Thought you had the manual? You been following through with it? Check the troubleshooting section.

How did it point to fuel pump? If that was the problem, the car wouldn't start to begin with and/or would start and stall almost immediately.... I think you are getting closer tho. I would follow the ignition system and all the possible sensors you can think of.

the sensors that would be causing this would be coolant temp sensors but most of them have been changed since i changed the water outlet/inlet housings...
I am close but still far...
Mr2Tim mentioned to me that a lazy fuel pump does the same thing that was happening to my car.. but i guess that wasnt the case.. fuel pump change wasnt as hard as everyone made it out to be... pretty easy got the tank down in 30 min..
