If you want your on-board expresso maker to work, get the Hydra.

It really comes down to what you value more. This has been debated quite a bit, and is actually somewhat of a hot-button topic. I encourage you to do a search on both this board and <the other that won't be mentioned> in order to avoid anarchy.
If you want to discuss some of the things you found offline, feel free to email me. I have tuned both systems many, many times. damon.becker (at) comcast (dot) net. Beautiful engine, by the way! |

Are you tunning it yourself or a shop? If you are not tunning it yourself you might want to strongly base your decision on what the shop near you or where you would potentially take it prefer to tune.

I have recently gotten the AEM installed. Seems really easy to tune. Haven't really played too much with it. But my choices were AEM and Greedy and AEM was preferred by the friend of mine doing the work. He said it was much simpler to install then the Greddy. Hope that helps.

The Nemesis will soon incorporate with a dash setup as well, so a digital dash can pull info from the Nemesis! http://www.aimsports.com./

I think it's impressive that the Hydra folks have caught up with AEM EMS in many areas, despite the advantage AEM had with an acquired EMS and years' head start.

I have no idea what the finances of Hydra vs. AEM are. AEM bought the GEMS EMS and renamed it the AEM EMS, then did some development on it to modernize it. Hydra designed their system from the ground up using more updated features from the onset.
Financially, they both involve a sizable investment. |

What are your performance goals ? That too is an important one to consider, some would say the bigger the investment, the more dependable or "backup" you wont the system is case something was to fail.

The ones that will do that are fairly few and far between. (A little alliteration there for you.)
