question for power FC gurus

my PFC works fine without the commander hooked up,once i plug in the commander my CEL would dim like its grounded or something.
so i tried to hook it up with another mr2,it works fine with the commander....so something's wrong with my car?could it be ground issues?

did you try checking your grounds, do you have a DMM?
